Nice clean hotel. Good breakfast. Ideal for relaxing break. Not really suitable for older children as there is not a sandy beach, only pebbles. Slight aircraft noise although not overnight. Lovely little fishing village, not much to do for younger couples although buses direct into Funchal. Used a great deal by hill walkers and climbers, plenty of those. Would recommend.
