Review of 'DECATHLON'
22 August 2005
First impression of apartments was bad, hotel has graffitti on front. There is no reception, you have to collect key from an office approximately 1 mile down road where you have to pay a key deposit of 100 Euros. The self-catering apartment was nice only has 2 ring electric cooker. There was no kettle, toaster, microwave or fan provided these all had to be hired at 44E each per week. Also no luggage room available. Hotel is mainly residential. There is a very strong smell of food in apartment which comes from Restaurant beneath hotel. No cleaning service is provided and no change of towels. The hotel is in the centre of Salou and surrounded by shops and facing two nightclubs which are all open until approx 5am each night. It is very noisy with lots of litter/rubbish everywhere.
