Couldn't fault this hotel. Stayed here a number of times and I have never been disappointed. From the minute we arrived staff and service was excellent. We stayed one night but never left the hotel i.e. ate in the restaurant and drank in the bar. The only improvement that should be made is the live Music. The band was old fashion and boring and depressing. Overall this hotel is very good. Well done and keep up the good work!

Expensive and disappointing food.
23 September 2007
Ok the rooms were clean, fresh (non-smoking means exactly that) but our angst started on the night my husband, myself and elderly parents arrived. The room had the usual information book which displayed all on offer including a meal in the "Reubens" restaurant boasting 4 courses for 30 Euro. Not wanting to further exhaust the elders we opted to go down and sample said fare. We tried to request the 30 Euro deal but were told that it didn't exist and perhaps we had confused it with the voucher system. We opted for individual courses and frankly the food was awful, the mashed potato and veg were COLD. I tried the fruity curry which held no more appeal than a Vesta packet meal with its wet rice and lack of flavour.
I wouldn't have complained had the self promotion of the food not been so laughably inaccurate.
The next night we decided to give the eaterie in the bar a go but yet again the mash and veg were COLD and the chicken kiev was fried chicken in breadcrumbs with a bit of garlic butter slopped on. We asked to see the manager and he duly took on board our concerns. We also asked about the advertised 30 Euro deal and got the same response - we asked him to remove it from the hotel guest book. The dining area is noisy-continual loud unsoothing pop spews from the speakers, coupled with the clacking of plates and bustling of guests does not make for a pleasant dining experience.
My mother fell, hurt her hip and ended up in hospital. The duty manager could not have been more sympathetic and helpful explaining how the system worked, how and when we could contact the local Dr and let us use the phone without charge.
So, all in all eating experience awful but staff and manager very good especially Pablo who genuinely appeared sad that the standards had not met our expectations. A 4 for customer relations.

Review of 'DAYS GALWAY'
06 November 2006
This is a very nice family hotel. The bar food is very nice for what they offer. The stout is nice. Room are very clean. Staff are good and friendly. Did find that the hot water was brown in my room. Don't know the reason for this. It was a 9 euro taxi ride from the center. Did find that a bit expensive. Would stay here again.

Good locatiion near City. The hotel is very modern and spotless. The room was a generous size. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety to choose from. I like that they cater for guests who enjoy a "Lie In" by serving breakfast up to 11am. Would definately stay here again.

Happy 'DAYS' in GALWAY
19 July 2006
After searching tirelessly on the internet for a suitable hotel near Galway City centre (a hotel with pool and childrens facilities)we eventually booked in at Days Hotel situated about 3/4 of a mile outside Galway City Centre, at an excellent price, through Alpharooms. We were more than happy with the outcome. The rooms were excellent and we even had a balcony, they were cleaned every day with provision of clean towels. The buffet breakfast was very good and catered for all. The leisure facilities were also very good and suitable for children. The hotel also provided a Children's Club called the 'Friendly Fellows', this was also an excellent facility, which most hotels fail to provide. Entertainment was also provided most nights in the hotel bar. Last but not least the staff at the hotel were very friendly and most obliged to help at all times. Highly Recommended!!

THE BEST BUDGET HOTEL AROUND
15 April 2006
This is the second time I have stayed here. I find the staff extremely helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and clean.
Overall for a budget hotel this has got to be the best around and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
