The Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget was built in 1873 on Margaret Island - the island of parks in the centre of Budapest. The hotel is connected to the neighbouring Danubius hotel by a heated underground corridor thus enable guests to benefit from the services of both hotels. The hotel is situated in the calm and picturesque surroundings of Margaret Island, yet in the heart of Budapest. Guest rooms comprise en-suite, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe, minibar, coffee and tea making facilities. Non-smoking and connecting rooms, as well as rooms for the disabled are available. Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget boasts one of Europe's top Health Spas, the therapies of which are based on the utilisation of three of the island's natural thermal springs. The vast range of facilities at the health spa includes; an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, sun terrace, whirlpool, Jacuzzi, thermal bath, sauna, aroma cabin and solarium. Fitness facilities include a personal trainer, biking, running, group aerobics, spinning, stretching, step, yoga, tai-chi, tae-bo and aqua fitness. Massages available are Thai massage, foot massage, dry brush massage, aromatic baths, reflexology, hydro massage, hot towel massage, head and neck massage and Cleopatra bath. They offer pedicures, a beauty salon, anti-cellulite massage, body wrapping, hair dressers, hydrotherapy (recommended under doctor’s supervision) and there is even a dental clinic, cosmetic surgery, laser eye surgery, neurology and spine clinic. The hotel restaurant with garden terrace leading to the park serves Hungarian, international and dietetic cuisines accompanied by gypsy music. There is also the opportunity to eat snacks and small meals at the Grill terrace, Begonia Café, Gosser Brasserie and Victoria Drink Bar. As well as relaxing facilities like the health spa, the hotel provides conference facilities. The meeting rooms come with technical audio/visual equipment and trained staff ready to support your use of the space. The largest of these rooms can accommodate up to 300 people. These rooms can be used as venues for social occasions, opening up to include the restaurant, terrace and garden if necessary. Hostesses, interpreters, photo service, live music and programmes are available on request. High-speed broadband, both wired and wireless internet access (WiFi) is available in the function rooms, the restaurant and other communal areas.
