What our customers say
Seven days in Budapest is just not long enough. It is THE ideal city break and this hotel makes for the perfect base with its welcoming staff, spotlessly clean and well-appointed rooms and excellent facilities. At very reasonable cost, the Bolero Room Restaurant offers wonderful cuisine, scrumptious wines and cocktails and THE most elegant of Service. The Hotel faces onto a lovely city park and is in a quiet, mainly residential area. It is well placed for trams and buses (always say 'boos' as 'bus' is a very rude Hungarian word) and visitors will find public transport to be excellent and very cheap. Shopping is a joy compared with the 'sameness' of the typical high street here in the UK. Parking meters and speed cameras are virtually non-existant and progress around the city is very rapid indeed. We wondered at the magnificent architecture of the Palace, the Parliament buildings, St Stevens Basilica and the Jewish Synagogue and thought the well-stocked West End Shopping Centre with its foodhall, offering cheap though delicious meals, likely to be the envy of homegoing holidaymakers.
