The Custom House Hotel is situated opposite the ExCeL Exhibition Centre and Custom House station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). With the station opposite, the trendy Canary Wharf area is just ten minutes away, whilst central London can be reached in twenty minutes. London City Airport is also easily accessible. The Custom House Hotel offers a varied choice of restaurants including a traditional english pub, the Ho Lee Chinese restaurant, the Camelia Restaurant and the café/bistro Lighthouse Grill with a light, uplifting atmosphere and terrace. The leisure facilities in the Quality House Hotel next door are available at a small fee. Guest should note that the hotel has superior air conditioned rooms as well as family-friendly standard rooms. PLEASE NOTE: Part of the hotel is currently closed to guests after a fire in one of the wings. Renovation work is taking place in this part of the hotel, but no completion date has been set yet.

The hotel is next to the Excel exhibition centre and about 15 minutes from Canary Wharf. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Its a fairly decent hotel for a solo traveller on a budget. Hotel seems safe for a solo traveller. No real issues.
