Incredibly disappointed

This hotel was being renovated and it showed! The first room we were allocated smelt of mould, the second room was ok. The lack of pool was a major disappointment for the kids and we should have been informed prior to making a booking (apparently it has been closed for nearly a year). However the staff were very friendly and tried their best to make our stay enjoyable. The first floor including the resturant was very cold but the food was good. The location of this hotel made up for the negative points that have been raised, great for shopping and dining. Unfortunately we would not recommend this hotel until refurbishment is complete.

Initially disappointed, hotel was under major refurbishment, the health suite including the swimming pool no longer exists, shame they didn't update their web site. However it is in an excellent location, our room was clean and very comfortable. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I probably would go back but after all the works had been completed.

Excellent location for all events, eating places and pubs, Hotel staff very helpful breakfast and bar meals 1st class, rooms clean and spacious and at Alpharoom rates what more could you want will be back for sure.
