Crown Resorts Horizon

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our first wedding anniversary, we live on the island and fancied a night away from the kids for our anniversary so we stayed for one night all inclusive and were very impressed. The AI consisted of the usual local wines, beers and spirits but they do have a full cocktail list available to the all inclusive customers which was a nice change. The food was pretty good, better than most other AI hotels I have stayed at, and there was plenty of choice. There were also some childrens choices (chips, pizza etc). The hotel is clean and tidy. The room is fairly basic but clean and nice enough. The staff were friendly and all spoke enough english to understand your request and answer politely. The evening entertainment was pretty poor from what we saw but I guess that's what you make it. There are plenty of places around the hotel if you want to find some excitment elsewhere! From what I saw it was also nice for kids, they provide activities for all in and around the pool during the day and there is a nice 'pirates' play park for kids too. I would definately go back again for a short break, in fact we are thinking of going back with the kids in the summer hols!!!

The hotel was clean and bright the pool was very good and so were the large grownds. But it stops there, I and a friend went on the 9 dec 06 for one week all inclusive but were very dissapointed. The breakfast was fine but the other meals were a waste of time. We had to pay for water, also snacks were not avalible but were part of the package. Had to pay 2.50cyp for two tea bags and 2 coffees in the room bit tight I thought. On to the bar we were supposed to get all local drinks, you could have pints but had to pay for local bottled beer.
If you are going it might be better to go b&b to put it bluntly you did not get much on the all inc deal.
