Having lived in Cricklewood for over 30 years and been away for the last 10 it was fascinating to visit and stay in the Crown. The idea of transforming the Crown into a hotel was an idea that was destined to fail but the opposite has taken place. The hotel is nearer 5 star than 4. The dinner in the King Citric was great value and the service was first class. I was impressed with the whole service experience. As for the pub, I had paid a few visits to it in the 70's and 80's and it was not a venue of choice by a long way but the transformation is beyond belief. I would not hesitate in paying the Crown another visit and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Crown Moran

10 September 2007
Stayed at the Crown Moran on 08/09/2007. The trip was a surprise for our son's 13th birthday paired with a trip to Wembley to watch England V Israel and we were not disapointed. The location of the hotel is great on three fronts, a mile and a half from the M1, 3 stops on the tube from Piccadilly and 4 stops from Wembley Stadium. Kilburn tube station is a leisurely 10 minute walk, but can seem a bit hairy after dark. The hotel is very modern and the rooms are fantastic, very spacious and lovely bathrooms. The wife said that the rooms was the nicest she had ever stayed in and we have stayed in various 5 star hotels around europe. The only let down for the Crown Moran was the cooked breakfast. It was very poor. However, there is plenty of cereals, fruit and yoghurts to pick from, so you shouldn't go hungry. Overall it was an excellent stay and I wouldn't hesitate in returning.

FANTASTIC HOTEL

09 July 2007
stayed in the crown moran hotel on 7.7.07. we did get a taxi to the hotel from kilburn underground.the taxi rank was just round the corner from the underground. the hotel is about a mile down the road so the next day we did walk it which did not take to long as it was a lovely day ,just walk out of the hotel and turn left and keep on walking and you come to kilburn underground. the hotel is beautiful so clean and elegant.the receptionist was very helpful as we arrived early and she gave us a room straight away.the rooms are very elegant and up to date. the bathroom was outstanding.the breakfast was lovely , you just sat at the table and the waiter came and got your order from the menu full irish breakfast which was lovely, also you could go and get drinks and cereals if you wanted, very good service also in the restaurant.i will go back again to this hotel, i could not fault it at all. the whole weekend was brilliant. i would recommend this hotel very highly.

Three fat ladies on a shopping spree!

07 July 2007
Booked this hotel for my mother and 2 of her friends - all in their sixties. My brief was that they wanted a modern , good value for money hotel for their London shopping and theatre spree! They raved about this hotel! I breathed a huge sigh of relief! Clean,Fantastic, Excellent food - Big rooms (considering they all shared the same one!) Convenient from london Paddington ( 20min and £15 by taxi) The same price to Marks and Spencers in Oxford steet!!They had a whale of a time and brought me home a bottle of wine and Coney Fishers autograph for dicovering this cracker of a hotel. All three will stay there again!

The Crown Moran is a great hotel- this was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. The rooms are clean and spacious, the restaurant is lovely for both dinner and breakfast and the leisure facilities are first rate. The hotel also has car parking, and is outside the congestion charging zone. The tube is a 10 minute walk, or there are very regular buses going from outside the hotel, so getting into central London is no problem at all. Really couldn't be faulted.

We got a double room for £88.00 including breakfast which was very cheap as this is a 4 star hotel. The hotel itself is stunning and the staff very helpful and nice. The room was very clean and spacious. We decided to have our breakfast in bed which only cost £4.00 each extra, very reasonable and i must say 'what a breakfast'.It was the cleanest breakfast i ever had, not one drop of grease. This is my second time to stay and i love it there. The people, the place, the food all fantastic and there's quite a lot of pubs around it,only a short walk aswell as mcdonalds, kfc and burgerking all 1 minute walk. You would be mad not to stay here.

This is a fantastic hotel with a real Irish charm. The leisure facilities are excellent and the food is of a high standard. The hotel lies adjacent to an old Irish pub and has been linked seamlessly with the new hotel building.
I will definitely be returning and will also recommend it to friends and family.

Stayed 1 night. Room very comfortable although the bath appeared to have had some repairs/filling, which looked unsightly.  The shower controls weren't obvious and took time to figure out.  Staff very helpful.  Lobby and restaurant lovely.  Car parking was a problem as the car park was full late evening. We parked on a side road but it had restrictions from 9.00am.  Designated parking for hotel guests might be a good idea.

I had a double room from15 to19 july2006.Being a mature, experienced and finiky tavel addict this was the fifth hotel I reserved for this trip having paid cancellation fee for the other 4.If you can plan your activities and want to stay in the finest 4* hotel for the amount you pay ,I think this one is the best.I got an excellent deal from Alpharooms.New large room, bath and shower, had one big double bed and a single bed.Staff extemely friendly and knowledgable.Cold and hot Irish breakfast.Fitness, suana and nice indoor swimming pool. One dinner in the award winning hotel resturant well worth.Plenty of of other dinnig options and provisions at stones throw.Location decent, in the north.24 hr Bus# 189 and#16 at door step take you to Oxford Circus and Hyde Park in 30 min respectively.Nearby tube Jubli line gets there in 20 min. Will always return.

Review of 'CROWN MORAN'

As a disabled traveler since 2001 I often encounter, ignorance, lack of facilities and If I need a simple item such as a chair to be removed from a dining table it is accompanied by an atmosphere that would make an observer wonder if I had asked for someone to cut off an arm or actually over some good old fashioned Service.
The Crown Moran is superbably designed for wheelchair users, even the marble ramp leading to the wonderful restaurant has carved slown down areas and sweeps beautifully round designed by the architect when it was built.

The pool is grand, and stays open until 10pm, room service is amazingly prompt, beautifully presented and the food fresh and hot.

Free parking was a bonus,  in its lift accessable underground car park, so don't be shocked when you see the sign of £2 an hour. This is for the diners at the restaurant.  I would advise you book early as since its mention as one of the top ten European Restaurants In London, it is deservidly very popular and I will not drop names, but I counted at least 2 celebs.

The rooms are spacious, however the xtras need to be requested from housekeeping but arrive promptly. (i.e Trouser Press/Iron and Ironing Board).

I booked this room via alpharooms the previous day and the rate of £79 including full breakfast was exceptional value.

Having stayed at this hotel during it's first week of opening (minor gremlins still needed to be resolved) I must say the vision has been achieved and exceeded with unobtrusive yet exceptionally attentive staff, what should be a Michilan Star Rated Restaurant, traditional pub, and relaxed. Sophisticated design, sweeping marble staircases with shining chrome rails all add to the ambience.

Internet access is available both dial up and broadband for reasonable fees.

This is a Hotel you would feel relaxed at holding a conference, entertaining clients or having a wedding reception.  Every single detail has been thought of.

Review of 'CROWN MORAN'

12 December 2005
The Crown Moran is a clean, contemporary hotel, with accommodation and services comparable to a Hyatt or Hilton Hotel, so it was quite a bargain at Alpharooms prices! Buses to Oxford Circus and Victoria Station stop directly in front of the hotel and run about every 10 minutes and the Kilburn tube station is only a 10-minute walk. Overall, I had a very nice time at the Crown Moran and would happily stay there again.

Superb hotel, ideal for people coming down from up North as the hotel is 5mins from the bottom of the M1 and has its own car park. Completely re-furbished, polite staff & spacious rooms. Short walk from nearest tube station (cabs cost a fortune into City centre!!) Worth a visit

Both my wife were absolutely delighted with the hotel, helpful staff and range of facilities.

The design and modern layout is tastefully done and there is an air of comfort and space throughout the hotel. We were particularly impressed with the design of the bathroom (hurray for a raised wash bowl, being able to park the car directly beneath in the underground car park (good value) and the fact that one could just drop into the pub lounge for a bite and a pint.

A truly relaxing stay in a genuine 4 star hotel. Walk in rate is £190 for a double with breakfast, lowest price you will get anywhere is with Alpharooms - £85 - a real bargain!
