We (2 adults and 2 girls aged 8 and 5) stayed for 2 weeks at the Creta Maris in late July, early August 2007, and really enjoyed it. The hotel and bungalows are wonderful. We stayed in one of the family bungalows, where the one room was big enough for the 4 of us.
There is a good variety of food in the main restaurant. We also visited the other 2 restaurants and enjoyed them.
The Kids Club was a big hit with our daughters. First time I've stayed at a hotel with a bowling alley, which we really enjoyed. The pools (including the indoor one) are great, the beach is nice and sandy, but it gets rocky as soon as you enter the sea.
The best thing about the Creta Maris is of course the staff. They couldn't do any more for us. One of our daughters celebrated her birthday while we were there, and I must say, that the staff in Guest Relations, the Kids Club and the Restaurant all went out of their way to make it special for all of us.
The Creta Maris (and its sister hotel the Terra Maris) is very different from the rest of the resort of Hersonossis, which seems to be mainly for young singles who want to party (no harm in that!), but as you have everything on site, you don't really have to spend too much time there. Do make sure to spend a night however in Old Hersonossis, where the restuarants are excellent.
