The Craigiebield House Hotel is set in beautifully landscaped private grounds and is just eight miles south of Edinburgh. Each of the 18 bedrooms has views over the hotel gardens to the surrounding countryside, creating a comfortable and relaxing setting in which to stay. The rooms are all equipped with a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, trouser press, telephone, colour television, en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. The conservatory restaurant offers diners a mix of traditional Scottish and more modern dishes accompanied by a fine selection of wines. After dinner the hotel’s oak panelled bar and lounge are the perfect setting for a night cap. The Craigiebield House Hotel also offers conference facilities and car parking.

After reading some reviews on other sites of this hotel we were a little worried about what we'd find. However, we need not have! The hotel is situated 8 miles from Edinbugh with easy bus links(in fact the stop is right outside!) if you don't want to drive(we did!). The staff were very helpful and the rooms although compact were cosy and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the conservatory which is nice and bright, and you can choose between cereals/fruit and/or a full cooked affair. We had dinner there one evening and it was lovely! We enjoyed our stay at the Craigiebield House Hotel, and would recommend it to all, just remember its a two star hotel not three as advetised!
