The County is a small, friendly and economic hotel, popular with budget-minded travellers. It is conveniently situated in the heart of London within easy walking distance of Euston and King's Cross stations as well as Covent Garden, Oxford Street and The British Museum. All the rooms are centrally heated with basins, while bathrooms are shared with four other rooms. Rooms also come with a radio, a TV, a telephone, and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a traditional bar at the County London, serving delicious reasonably priced meals. *** This is basic accommodation and suitable only for the budget traveller. For someone travelling alone on a budget, the County London was certainly a bargain! I was exceedingly pleased with my weekend stay. The hotel is in a popular area, but the street noise was inaudible. The location is great- I could walk everywhere I needed to go and spent my days meandering through Covent Garden, Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square. The British Museum is quite close as well. In regards to the room, I had a standard single to myself and shared a bathroom with only one other guest. My room was well heated, clean and the perfect size for a solo traveller. I visited the bar on my first night and had a tasty meal. Overall, I was content with my stay and will certainly return when in London again!
