Costa Caleta

I've given this hotel a 3 rating as it had many good points but also a few bad points which let it down. Firstly I have just returned from a fortnight's all inclusive holiday at the hotel as a single mum with two young children - ages 7 and 10. At the time of booking I was looking for something with a good kids club/entertainment and was assured that this was inclusive with this hotel. But when I arrived I discovered a different story, the animacion team consisted of 1 young man who was only really interested in playing one game of water polo per day and this was with the adults in the pool....the children's mini club room had been vandalised a few weeks previously and nothing had been done to rectify this...which meant a lot of upset children. No childrens activities were available until the last few days of our holiday. Which was when a new animacion team took over. (1 female 1 male) Whom I cannot really fault except to say that the kids minidisco started at 9-30pm and sometimes as late as 10pm! The other faults were in the slow service at the poolside bar most of the time, not the staffs fault I have to add, as those girls were pretty much overworked..definitely a management issue there! Children were often made to wait until all adults were served until they got ice creams or cokes....my daughter had to wait 35mins on a few occasions...and even new adults coming up were being served before her. The food in the restaurant was ok, but after a week of same old same old we ate out a lot in the second week. Good points were the rooms were immaculate if small, the maids came in daily to clean, fresh linen and towels were also left daily. Overall I think I would return to this destination again but would definitely go elsewhere for my entertainment!

Family with Children 11 and Under

The Hotel was excellent, very clean and plenty of Staff, stayed all inclusive, the best option, unfortunetly the food let the hotel down, was'nt very hot at times although the choices were very good, but we had to zap the food in the microwave on more than one occasion, made up for it by eating out dinner out on the last four days........would i go back?..........yes.

just back from this hotel, it was great.the service was good..rooms good.. and food good...there was plenty of choice at all sittings...never very busy.... there were loads of sunbeds.... the all inc is by far the best option.... probably would be a bit more hectic in high season... but april was great....def go back there....

Stayed at the Costa Caleta over Christmas and New Year 2006.  A lovely, modern hotel with excellent facilites.  Staff were friendly and they're certainly not stingy with the drinks measures! A short walk to the beach and resort bars etc. (if you can make it after a few at the bar).  Food isn't brilliant but I've had worse.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to people of any age but especially to those with children.
