Continental Oceanfront Hotel South Beach is situated on the beach in Miami’s famous Art Deco District. The Miami Beach Convention Centre is located just three blocks away and the Lincoln Road Mall and Ocean Drive are within walking distance. The hotels restaurant La Mola Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch daily whilst drinks and snacks are served at the Ocean Terrace café facing the pool. Guestrooms feature either city or ocean views and are equipped with modern facilities.

We took the chance (after all the negative reviews with just one or two good ones we had read) and stayed at the Continental Oceanfront South Beach Hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed at the Continental Oceanfront before and after our cruise in two different rooms and we cannot understand how people could say that the hotel is rundown and the staff pretend they cannot speak english. This is not true the staff there are very polite and cordial and they do speak english. The reviews also said that there was a bucket at reception which collects water when rain falls (we saw none of this and rain fell almost every day while we were there). Some of the reviews we read also said the adequate number of towels were not provided for the people in the room and the towels were dingy. Four of us stayed in our room and there was a change of towels everyday and each of us was provided with a clean white towel. There was maid service everyday while we were there. The beds were very comfortable and the bedsheets, blankets and comforters were spotless. Both the tv and airconditioner worked well. There was adequate lighting both in our rooms and in the hallway. We had breakfast in the restaurant and we were completely satisfied with the cleanliness of the restaurant and also with the american breakfast provided. The hotel was well maintained and smelt fragrantly clean. We had no problem with the Continental Oceanfront, it is not a 5 star hotel but we would still give it a 5 and we would most definitely stay there again . We do recommend this hotel especially if it is booked through Alpharooms. Thanks Alpha.
