Great location nice and quiet

Good hotel, excellent location close enough to the centre that you can pop back and forward but far enough away that its nice and quiet :-) The bathroom is a little bit tired (cracked tiles) but the rest of the room was very clean. I would agree with previous comments about the stairs. Staff are very friendly and helpful (we were able to store our bags their all day after we had checked out.) Good choice for breakfast. I would stay there again.

Proper English-style hotel at good location

The hotel as a good location in quite central London, with good connections with the Tube (central line) and buses to Oxford Street / Piccadilly Circus. The rooms seem to be, sadly, very London-style; smallish and beyond narrow and high-steeped stairs. The rooms are, however, clean, nice, and quiet. If you have mobility problems, though, make sure to mention it in the reservation because some of the rooms are ONLY accessible via stairs.

Nice hotel at good location

good: central location (good transport connections with bus and tube), peaceful environment, nice neat room bad: very small room and small bathroom, the stairs are very narrow, there is an elevator but for some rooms you need go by staris too (go up 4 floors using stairs or go up to the 6th floorr by an elevator and then walk down 2 floors using stairs -> not good for instance for handicapped people)
