Comfort Inn Vauxhall
05 June 2007
Hotel reception busy, woule be better if they priortised face to face customers instead of continually picking up the phone, suggestive of a lack of courtesy or poor customer service training. I also had some difficulty with the card to my room, which meant I had to go back to reception each night. However, room was spacious and clean and ensuite facilities good. The continental breakfast was also adequate.

This hotel is centrally located for all the London landmarks. Unfortunately the room we shared with our teenage daughters was a standard room, accommodating four single beds, 2 of which were camp beds. The hotel is basically just used as a base in which to explore London.

Review of 'COMFORT INN VAUXHALL'
12 December 2005
Previous reviews on this hotel have commented on the poor breakfast arrangements - well they have now sorted this out with the staff seating guests at tables rather than the free for all scramble it was before. Still a fairly poor breakfast though - on Sunday the "cooked" consisted of a plate of beans and a few solitary boiled eggs - while the "continental" was (literally) a few croissants, toast and a few slices of cheap ham and even cheaper cheese - when the staff could be bothered to replenish them.
However, the rooms are great, clean, tidy, unlike some other places the staff really do leave you alone if you hang the "do not disturb" sign up so as long as you don't want breakfast you will be fine.
Locally there are a few tapas bars if you don't want to head into town and one pub (which is quite good) just along the South Lambeth Road (heading away from Vauxhall) - unfortunately the pub just across from the hotel no longer does food.
Just a word of warning if you are arriving late and expecting to get a meal somewhere locally. The number 2 and 88 busses stop almost at the hotel door, which is handy to know.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious and just generally very nice. This hotel is ideally located to reach all the main tourist spots including London Eye etc. My boyfriend and I couldn't have been happier with the hotel, it was fantastic. We would definately recommend it to anyone.

Comfort inn, we found to be a very friendly place the staff were very helpful, the rooms were comfortable and spacious, no problems with hot water (it was constant). The ceiling fan could do with being more powerful as for the windows, they could do with opening a bit further but we do understand that these windows open like this for safetys sake. Breakfast was sufficient, accomodation was farely priced and we would use the comfort inn as a base in London all the time. It's only about three minutes walk to the nearest tube station which can have you in the thick off it in no time at all, many thanx to Alpha rooms for a pleasant welcome and stay...

Review of 'COMFORT INN VAUXHALL'

The hotel had a large and fashionably decorated hotel room. Air conditioning was provided by a ceiling fan. En-suite was large too, but the water took ages to get warm in the shower. Check-in and out was seamless. The hotel also has a small bar, which served us well after normal licensing hours. The only complaint I have is with breakfast - they have such a small breakfast room for such a large hotel. Stocks for breakfast aren't necessarily replenished well either. If there's a rush for breakfast, queues build up all round the breakfast room, with equally large queues of people waiting for tables. All told though, it's a good hotel, with very reasonable rates for London. It's in a convenient location, well serviced by two tube stations, and regular overground trains.

Review of 'COMFORT INN VAUXHALL'

The Comfort Inn Vauxhall is conveniently sited away from the bustle of the city and was close to the tube and bus routes. The welcoming staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent. The only drawback was the breakfast. The breakfast room was busy and staff had difficulty keeping up with demand. We were not sure whether what was available was continental or traditional breakfast although there were hot baked beans no sign of eggs or bacon was obvious. Will use again.

Review of 'COMFORT INN VAUXHALL'
08 April 2005
When we planned our overnight stay in London, the last thing on our minds were our beds for the night - the only thing in our heads were 'bright city lights' not quiet 'Comfort-inn nights' tucked up in a hotel bedroom. But with hindsight the most important thing was 'Location, Location, Location', and after staying at The Comfort Inn in Vauxhall, I'd tell every prospective traveller to London to forget the West End and lay their heads on the south side of the river.
On arrival at the hotel, we were met by friendly staff who seemed as enthusiastic about our night in London as we did! They took us to our clean, bright comfortable room and showed us how to begin our A-Z tour of the capital's nightlife. We were advised to make the short hop to the 'Eye' for a spin on the wheel. And as we rose up in the sky and looked down on Lambeth Bridge we could see our beds for the night.
After our night on the town, we flopped down in our beds at the hotel with the 'comfort-inn' thought that despite the excellent location, clean surroundings and excellent customer care - we wouldn't leave the hotel with nothing in our wallets, as our nights stay was incredibly reasonable in price for all that we were treated to.
