What our customers say
This hotel was very good value for money compared to many other hotels in Paris,
But there are legitimate reasons for this.
It’s directly under the flight path of the airport and keeping the window open is not an option.
The en’suite rooms are very compact, I would be more than happy to substitute the French TV and Air-conditioning for a shower cubical which was big enough to shower in, (I’m not a model by the way)
The breakfast is served from 4am to 11am. Which sounds good but when I turned up for breakfast at 10am all that was left was a croissant and no chance of coffee. that was annoying. But the next day, I was at breakfast at 8am and a typical French Breakfast was available.
Paris is a very big city, if you stay at this hotel hoping to visit the popular sites you better have a deep pockets or be prepared to take the Metro everywhere, The Metro by the way is extremely efficient and if they say it arrives at 11.11pm it does, But it comes with the normal tube issues and we experienced two particularly violent fights.
We took a cab to the Moulin Rouge which took around an hour to get there and cost 65euro. The return taxi took nearly 2-1/2 hours to find the hotel and cost 75 euro, (he stopped the meter @ 75 euro, and I suppose he felt guilty about getting completely lost).
The hotel isn’t ideally placed or well known,
So if you plan to use the hotel as an overnight stay, the free shuttle to the airport makes it a very attractive if not unbeatable option for value, For that I give it 4 points from 5, if on the other hand you are looking for a base to use whilst visiting Paris then you might want to look at something which cost a little more but is more central.
We will return to Paris as tourists but won’t be staying at the Comfort CDG.
