The hotel is designed in a distinctive Arabic style and is located in the Playa de las Americas on an attractive palm-lined avenue that leads directly to the beach. In addition to a beautiful pool, there is a sun-bathing area, poolside bar, restaurant, piano-bar, disco, video and games room. All rooms have a private bathroom and telephone. At arrival at guests will receive a bracelet which they’ll have to wear during all their stay. Guest also receive an ID Hotel card that must be shown to access to “Restaurante Buffet”. After reading the reviews on the Columbus I was worried as I was travelling solo, on arrival my transfer was waiting for me and I got to hotel at 2.30 am. Room was a studio apartment which I will say was great. I went all inclusive, food great, yes there was a problem with the sun beds, people putting towels on them at 7 am, if they had not come back by 10 am towels were taken off for others to use. People were complaining about the 1 drink per person but with being on my own this did not bother me. There where other solo travellers at this hotel so did not feel alone. Weather great, hotel great, would go and stay here again. I had a fantastic time.
