The Birks Clan
22 May 2008
Have been to Colina Village 5 years on the trot with my daughters, son in laws, son and wife. This year we are going again with all the grandchildren as well. Really enjoy our stays here, staff are so welcoming and they always remember you from the year before. Always clean very large apartments. Cannot find any fault whatsoever. Would love to retire here some day.

Colina Village

Stayed here March 2008. Booked a 3 bedroom villa for a short break away from the cold UK. Wasn't expecting much, but, upon arrival we were astonished to find a huge actual 3 bedroomed villa, with 3 bathrooms! The facilities on the complex were great, 2 pools, nice bar and an exquisite restaraunt. The rooms are kept spotless, even air conditioned! Carvieoro a 10-15 minute walk away, so a car is pretty essential, but parking is provided at the complex... Right on your doorstep! We will be returning next year!

Colina Village

Stayed here in august 2007. Apartments are massive and have all the facilities you need including microwave, full oven and air conditioning in all rooms. Everywhere is very clean but portugal is very clean generally anyway! The pool area is great and there is a toddler pool and inside pool too. There was some entertainment some nights which was a bit loud but it did not go on too late. The only downside of these apartments is the distance from the resort centre, its a long walk so a car is virtually essential if you stay here (but the hotel do run a mini bus to the beach a few times a day)

I stayed in Colina village two years in a row with my family for two weeks each year. I was 15 and my sister was 3 and there were things to do for both of us. The food is amazing and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The apartments are extremely clean as is the entire resort.

Review of 'COLINA VILLAGE'

We stayed in Colina Village in 2005 for a 10 day holiday. We found the facilities excellent and the staff were friendly and courteous. The restaurant is of exceptional standard, (we only had dinner), but equally so are other local restaurants. A word of caution, it is a good walk on narrow roads from the centre of town but all said we were very impressed overall, so much so that we are returning to Colina Village in July '07 and are bringing 2 more couples.

Nice complex. The rooms were very spacious, clean and well equipped.Didnt eat at the restaurant but we heard from others that it was excellent. The walk to Carvoeiro takes 25 minutes.Great to get your appetite! Dont even think of walking back, unless you want to end up in Portimau hospital.Taxis are cheap anyway, 5 Euros to town.Carvoeiro is a great spot; loads of restaurants, bars and good beaches.Only down side was the attitude of the "pool bar" staff.Pretty rude to be honest and how can a "cocktail" maker claim to have never heard of a Bloody Mary is beyond me! I'd go again though...recommmended!

Review of 'COLINA VILLAGE'

We found the accommodation at Colina to be very spacious. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The maid service was excellent and the apartment was kept spotless. The on - site restaurant served top quality food and the service was of the highest standard with very friendly staff. We especially liked the layout of the complex as the blocks of apartments were well away from each other and were not overlooked. Everywhere was very clean and the gardens were immaculate, in fact the whole complex was a credit to the staff. I would definitely recommend Colina Village and 'alpharooms.com' to anyone. Mr.P. W.
