excellent

I suffered a heart attack April 29th and was staying at the Colina Sol- the staff were just wonderful and couldnt have done enough for me- even sending me a basket of fruit. They are the kindess people and our sea view accommodation was terrific and it would have been perfect except for my medical mishap!!! lovely people and a super hotel

fantastic sunsets
19 October 2007
We stayed for the second time
at Colina Sol - 8 days in October 2007.
Having booked a 1 bedroom apartment with our daughter, we were given a very spacious two bedroom apartment, however, on the second floor, dark and without sea view.
The management was very friendly and responsive to our dissappointment and
changed the apartment to a woderful one, situated on the 5th floor with all the amenities
described in other reviews.
According to a new policy we had to pay 8 Euro/night supplement for the room with sea view. However, this well justified and we did not mind at all.
We enjoyed our stay very much and certainly
will come back.

'Colina sol' - very impressed
04 June 2007
The aparthotel was very clean & comfortable. We were lucky enough to have one of the refurbished apartments. We spent 9 nights from 23rd May 2007 - had booked a 1-bedroomed apartment but we were actually accommodated in a very spacious 2-bedroomed, 2 bathroomed apartment with very large wrap around bathroom and lovely sea-view. Kitchen was spacious and just enough utensils for your stay but there was a full oven, grill, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle etc and a very large fridge. Hotel staff were very courteous and hotel was spotlessly clean. In a quiet area but only a 25minute walk into town and just at the top of the hill from a superb sandy beach. Quiet around the pool area and bar. If you like lots of noise & karaoke every night then its not for you but theres a good selection of bars & restaurants within easy walking distance although I'd recommend a car if you want to get to more nightlife. But it suited us just fine with an 8 year old boy and we'll definitely go back their in the future.

We were very impressed with the warm and friendly welcome we received, and the prompt service from all the staff we met in our short but very enjoyable stay.
Some may feel that the accommodation is somewhat basic, but I thought it offered everything we needed as a family on holiday.
We also travelled with my elderly parents who were very well looked after, including an upgraded room.
We would certainly look to stay there again.

Review of 'COLINA SOL'
25 October 2005
This is the second time we have stayed at this holel and we do so because of its location and value for money. It is clean and tidy but the rooms are getting shabby and need refurbishing. The kitchens are poorly equipped for long stays. If these matters were attended to the hotel would improve its rating but then the prices would no doubt rise.

Review of 'COLINA SOL'
22 July 2005
Just spent two nights at the Colina Sol. Wonderful location, with superb views as long as you get a room from level 4 upwards. Our two bedroom / two bathroom apartment was functional, if not a little basic.Toilet in second bathroom could not be used comfortably due to VERY close proximity of bidet! Anyone over 3ft tall would have their knees crushed by the taps, so at 6ft 2 I preferred the second bathroom! Air con only in lounge, and cost extra to turn it on. Would have been better if bedrooms had air con units installed. Pool a little on the small side for a large complex, but then there's an amazing beach just 50 yards away.Good enough for a short stay, but would have to think twice if considering anything longer than a week.

Review of 'COLINA SOL'
30 March 2005
We stayed at the Colina Sol 21st to 28th March 2005. The hotel has very good veiws of the ocean (we really enjoyed seeing and hearing the waves each morning) and is very close to the beach. It was a little too far out from the town for us with two children, but we coped with the help of our hire car.
The hotel is a little shabby and in need of updating but is clean and tidy. Our two bedroom appartment was large and spacious but lacked some basic equipment (like a kettle!). The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly.
