The photos on Cosmos' website are quite misleading. The accomadation was very basic and bearing in mind this is a self catering apartment, only two rings are provided to cook with. No oven which was disappointing. Although I did not wish to be chained to the oven it would have been nice to have the option of cooking your own pizza etc, as restaurants and shops in Portugal are quite expensive. Towels were changed every 4 days and the bedding once a week. We were gobsmacked that there was no double bed, so if your going on honeymoon don't stay here. We had to sleep on the sofa and a pull out matress under the sofa, both very uncomfortable. Although the beds were made and bins emptied the bath was not cleaned in the two weeks we were there, which wasn't really good enough as we visited the beach most days.
The room we stayed in was very close to the lift which was a nightmare when you've got drunk people coming in all houirs of the night and people getting up very early to catch thrie flights. Our apartment was close to the road which is very busy all night. We did not have one good nights sleep in the two weeks we were there. On the plas side the staff were always polite and helpful and the hotel was close to the beach.
