Clube Praia Da Rocha
14 July 2008
We stayed in this hotel for three days in July 2008. The apartments were quite spacious and the pool is excellent. It is only a five minute walk to the beach and there are planty of bars and restaurants around. Other reviewers commented on the cleaning but our towels were changed and the apartment was cleaned after the first day. You do need to hire a kettle, toaster, hairdryer etc... which would be annoying if spending a week or more there but overall it was worth it (120e for two nights, peak season and one days notice). It's not top class but for a relaxed family holiday i think it would be ideal.

Stayed April 2008
14 April 2008
Personal opinion 2.5/5.0
We were looking for cheap accomodation in Praia da Rocha (near the Marina). This was one of the options available. It was also recommended by family and friend who stayed there in previous years on package holidays.
The accomodation was in acceptable condition when we arrived but it could do with a renovation. Everything else was in order. Some disadvantages of this place are:- You have to rent the T.V. and also kettle and toaster if required. The bed linen was not changed in the week we stayed (although this was stated when we checked in). The towels were only changed on our 6th day (only after we asked). The cleaners only came into our apartments once during the week to make the beds and empty the rubbish.
All in all I believe you get what you pay for. We only paid a total of €147euro for 1 room for 7 nights.
I would have no problem, and probably will stay here again in the future. I would also recommend it to anybody who is looking for good value accomodation. I would however not pay the asking rates for this accomodation during peak summer season.

Clube Praia Da Rocha
27 October 2007
Just back from Clube Praia Da Rocha,We stayed here 2 years ago and knew that this was basic accomadation but didnt mind as we were only taking a weeks break. When we arrived we were placed on the 10th floor with an 19 month old baby after requesting a low level apartment when booking. After pointing this out it was changed by the reception staff who were helpful as always. To our amazement the rooms have become very degraded over past 2 years, exposed wires in light in bathroom, furniture drawers and doors falling apart.Had to keep fiddling with key to open room door locks seemed to be seized up.The rooms were cleaned by only making the beds emptying the bins and wiping out bath every day.we had the same tea towel for the week(had to wash it ourselves).Sheets on bed and in cot were never changed.would not stay here again with young children.

Clube Praia Da Rocha
18 June 2007
Just got back from Clube Praia Da Rocha, had a great holiday. Although the accommodation is in an ideal location it is very basic. The rooms are cleaned in a fashion, beds were made every day but no towel change, bathroom was tidied but not cleaned but for the price we paid we could not complain. We didn't use the pool area or the entertainment much as we didn't have any kids with us but if you have it's ideal. You are within easy reach of the beach (which is beautiful) and all the shops bars and restaurants the hotel reception staff are very friendly as well as helpful but if you book room only you have to pay for everything e.g. kettle, toaster, microwave, TV all you get is a fridge a couple of pans and a few cups/plates etc which was ok for us as we like to go out for meals. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a cheap holiday in a great location

Staying at 'Clube Praia da Rocha'
06 August 2005
We stayed here for a weeks holiday in a self catering appartment sleeping up to 4, although we were only 3 in our party. The hotel was excellent for facilities, however it seemed petty that they charge for using their sunbeds! Our room was basic with no kettle. On request this could be hired but they had none to let out. Beds were a bit sparsome to say the least. There were two single beds in master bedroom and a narrow sofa with a pull out mattress in a wooden base under it. Sleeping on sofa proved most uncomfortable and I wouldn't have liked to sleep on the 4th bed! The pools were excellent and kept lovely. Entertainment was ok - we actually won the Bingo where they had promised 'really good prizes' which ended up being a free drink.. The restaurants and bars were good. For a basic 'no frills' place to stay, this was good value for money. The location was a very short walk to beach, shops, restaurants etc. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also arranged carhire and day trips at very competitive prices. We would go again.
