Club De Mar Reviews

We go to the Club De Mar twice a year, have been for 5 years now and it just gets better. It’s the only place where I can say that two weeks is not long enough. Paco and his staff are all very good. Renata will keep you right but I must say that this is not a place for children. There is no kids clubs or even a playpark nearby. If I were on holiday with my kids there I would be pulling my hair out. In fact the whole of mogan is not for kids, there is very little entertainment but it depends on what you want for a holiday. Otherwise the place is the best .

Having been driven through the mountains at night on very wibbly wobbly roads (bendy ) it was a dream to get to our hotel. the staff are brilliant and the head receptionist Renata is the person to turn to for local advice on tours etc. The hotel's restaurant overlooks the bay and is wonderful to have a meal with a view. The rooms are big and the bathroom is an above average size. I have never been on a holiday where i could get so tired doing nothing but relax.The local restaurants serve wonderful food even home made scones and cream.... if you want to just relax then this is the place.

We spent an incredibly relaxing week in this hotel.  The Hotel itself is built out onto the water, overlooking - on one side the marina, the other the beach, The building is only one storey high and brightly painted to match all the other buildings in the small resort, which is called 'little venice' with it's canals, there is a flower-covered roof terrace with spectacular views and sunsets. Our room with balcony overlooked the marina, there being no vehicles permitted made it a very tranquil place to sit with a bottle of wine, watching the yachts and fishing boats come and go. There was a pool and leisure facilities but with steps leading to the sea from the hotel who needed it!  Sound too quiet?  There were boat and submarine trips, a very colourful local market day, a great Irish Bar, but very little nightlife, hence the peace and quiet! It all depends what you are looking for - to me we found paradise!!
