Good for couples and friends
16 July 2008
I've been coming back to this hotel since my friend chose it back in 2006. That's about 6 visits over the last 18 months. My only criticism would be that the staff at reception aren't the friendliest, but they provide an adequate service.
The rooms are comfortable (no air conditioning unless you count the fan provided for summer heat), but the main thing for me is comfortable bed and clean bathroom facilities.
Bonus points are the quiet area, apart from trams rumbling past, but I quite like that.
It's close to a large park, which is good for a refreshing walk the morning after enjoying too much excellent beer and food.
It's a 10 minute walk over the river Vltava to my favourite restaurant, Kavarna Slavia (opposite the national theatre).
It's next to a tram stop with connections to Dejvicka (num 20 - where you catch the bus to the airport if you're on a budget) and lots of others to all parts of Prague.
It's suitable for groups of friends and my wife liked it too.
It's the best value for money for the distance to the centre of town that I've found and I've been so satisfied I haven't looked for anything else.

Weekend Break
05 June 2008
I thought this hotel was good value for money and in a great location, but don't expect complete luxury. The rooms are clean and spacious which was fine for us, and the breakfast had a good selection and there was plenty! It's in a great location as it's only a few minutes from Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge, but in a nice area with plenty of nice bars and restaurants around which are much better value than those right in the middle of the tourist area. We also didn't see any stag or hen parties in the area which was another bonus! All in all a good hotel in a great spot.

Excellent hotel with nice clean rooms and good breadkfast. Close to city centre. Would highly recommend. Only criticism was the luggage room. We left our luggage early and ended up having to pull out many bags to get to our own luggage whilst a member of staff stood by and watched. Would also recommend eating in Hybernia in a street bearing almost the same name.

This hotel is ideal for a short break and within a ten minute walk to Charles Bridge and a fifteen minute walk to the city centre. There is a good amount of restaurant, cafes and bars which are all pretty decent and very reasonable with good food! I would def stay at this hotel again, warm clean and reasonable brekkie.

16 March 2008
One word.. Fantastic. Could not have asked for a better hotel. The location is perfect if you want to be within close walking distance of all the attractions including Prague Castle which is only a short walk away. The breakfast was plentiful but basic, however you can eat as much as you wish and will set you up for the day. The only problem my boyfriend and i had all week was the use of the shower, be warned as if you can not get the angle of the shower tap just right (which took a bit of messing about) the water will either be very hot or very cold! We also had a power cut on the floor our room was situated, but this was remedied quickly. Please note, on our stay we noticed that there is building work going on on a building opposite the hotel. While we did not have any issues to raise regarding disruption it is something to be aware of if you are travelling in the next couple of months. All in all, Prague is a beatuiful place to go and i would certainly visit again and despite minor issues will (without a doubt!) book Atos on our return.

I have visited hotel Atos many times over the last 2 years. The Staff are allways helpful and friendly. The rooms are some times small but always clean. The breakfast was good with enough variety for all. Each room has a mini bar, tv and safe with a 24 hour reception which also acts as a bar for hot and cold drinks. With a tram stop outside the hotel and within 10 minutes of centre of prague the location is good.

fantastic hotel
04 March 2008
the hotel staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay, could not help enough with booking taxi's, telling us where to eat and sights to see. the rooms were A* for what we wanted, enough space, clean, and comfitable. the breakfast was very good, tea, coffee, meats, bread, eggs, anything you wanted really and pleanty of it too. the location of the hotel is spot on, 10 mins from charles bridge, with lots of resturants in 2 mins walking distance from our hotel, good access to trams and buses. the hotel was not in a dogdy area as some reviews i have read before i felt very safe. all in all thankyou to the staff at the hotel atos and staff at alpha rooms for making our holiday FANTASTIC. A* 100% recomend

romantic weekend away
05 February 2008
Hi everyone just got back from hotel atos, from the moment we arrived at around 9.30pm everyone was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were given a room on the 5th floor, it was quite large, double bed and a great modern new shower room. There is a minibar in the room with great prices, a beer or small bottle of wine approx £1. Breakfast in the hotel is great, teas, coffee, orange juice, toast, eggs, sausages, cereal even chocolate cake !!. we filled up on this and then walked to charles bridge around 10 minutes walk, there are plenty of bars and good restaurants around here, find WIGWAM BAR this is just around the corner, great atmosphere at night, good food and great prices. There is also a bar and restaurant in the hotel called meduzzys, this closes at 11pm but great if you have had a tiring day and just want to chill out. Cant recommend this hotel enough and we cant wait to go back, will definitely book with alpharooms again.

Very Good Hotel & Location
29 January 2008
We found this hotel very good, shower rooms very clean, good beds and good breakfast.
The location was very good and generally I would think quieter than those hotels closer to the Charles St bridge and old square.
I used public transport to/from airport and had no difficulties, except when I changed from bus to tram I didnt need to detour down the under pass. Reversing 100 yds back and I could have crossed to the tram stop. Once off the tram at Ujed I needed to walk couple of 100yds on, Melnicka street was 3rd street on left (opp the chinese). Hotel wasnt that obvious until you knew where it was. On route back needed to hope off tram and walk back 100yds to the airport bus stop. As we were happy to walk getting from hotel was not a problem.
Just remember comfy shoes for those cobblestones!!!

Excellent Hotel, Highly Recommended
19 January 2008
We stayed in the Hotel Atos from January 14th to January 17th and found it thoroughly enjoyable. The service was helpful and friendly, the receptionist should get an award for all his help in booking the right tour for us. The cleaning was done professionally and the room was left spotless. Breakfast was varied and there was lots of it, all to suit wide tastes and big stomachs. Getting to the hotel couldn't have been easier with the airport transfer we arranged, punctual and efficient. There is a tram stop just outside the hotel which gives the number 9 to Wenceslas Square and the number 12, 22 and 23 to the Malostranska square which was fantastic and gave brilliant access to the Karluv Most (Charles Bridge). The room itself was spacious and very warm, the bathroom was clean and there was a power shower, which was wonderful in the morning, the minibar was very reasonable and the TV showed Eurosport which meant I could keep upto date with the tennis! All in all a brilliant hotel in a brilliant city.

Relaxing weeks stay at Atos
17 January 2008
We have just returned January 16, 2008 after a week's relaxing stay at Atos Hotel Prague. Friendy hotel staff at reception, cleaning and breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable and warm.
Breakfast offered good choices for everyone's taste and as much as you liked. Get down before 9 for breakfast, as it can get a little crowded after then. Travel to and from the hotel was really easy - Get a 119 bus from the airport and then a #20 tram to the hotel, the stop is about 100 yards from the hotel. The ticket which is good for all travel for 24 hrs is 100 CZ = £2.85 and be used to travel all around the city by trams, buses or metro, hopping on and off when you see something of interest. The hotel itself is situated in a prime area, short walking distance to Charles bridge and Wenceslas Square. A great selection of eating places around the hotel, others only a few tram stops away. I would like to have had tea making facilities in the hotel room but got around that by buying a small kettle in Tesco there. For 3 star the hotel it was fine, clean, friendly and in a perfect location. Altogether a very relaxing week ! Prague is worth a visit and a lower buget hotel like Atos offer the opportunity to spend that little bit extra on sightseeing and evenings out. The fantastic Thai massage at Nam Jai Kaprova 11 (Near Charles Bridge) was well worth the £11 to the end of a very relaxing week. (The brochure was in the hotel lobby) I hope you enjoy as much as we did...Robert

City Partner Hotel Atos - October 07
15 October 2007
Great location and very good value for money. Literally just a 15 minute walk from Charles Bridge and the old square. Rooms are spacious and clean and the buffet style continental breakfast provides something for everyone. Taxi from airport 570 koruna (about £15). Try the Olympia Bar and Restaurant just around the corner - good atmosphere and half a litre of beer is around £1. Would definitely stay at the Atos again when we revist and would happily recommend to family and friends.

26 August 2007
The hotel lived up to the positive reviews already published. We had a slight glitch on arrival where we were booked into a triple (single beds) family room which could not be made into a double. However a quick chat to the helpful staff and we were moved to a double room as requested. The hotel facilities were in very good state of repair and the breakfast excellent and plentiful. The staff were excellent and the hotel is ideally situated for sightseeing with tram stops just outside the hotel and around the corner that will get you to anywhere quickly. That said walking around was easy and enjoyable even the walk to the Castle was not that difficult. Getting from the airport to the hotel was very simple, bus 100 to the Zlicin metro (C yellow) then the metro to Andel (9 stops) then a short tram journey (No 6 or 9) (2 stops) to the hotel. The real benefit though was the park just across the street with a choice of a small walk or a longer walk up the hill to the Petrin Tower where the view from the top is spectacular. Top tip get to the Cathedral Vitas within the Castle by 9am to avoid the crowds and the wait to get in. The early start is worth it when you are inside with hardly anyone else. Enjoyed it so much that aim to go back again soon and will stay in the same hotel.

Hotel Atos
15 August 2007
I booked this hotel after reading really good reviews about it. I was not dissapointed, after entering the reception I was immediately impressed by the decor and the incredibly friendly reception staff. The rooms were decorated nicely and very clean and spacious, as was all of the hotel. Breakfast was vast witha huge range of choices, something for everyone. The location was also perfect for what we wanted, and only a short walk to the old town and Charles bridge. I would highly reccomend. I would also recommend the Amedeo Tratoria just down the main road, 4 people can eat with wine for about 25 pounds, the food was superb!!!

25 July 2007
My husband and I enjoyed our trip tp Prague very much. We were very happy with the hotel, but could have done with air-conditioning as they experienced a very hot spell the 2nd week of our stay which was supposed to be very unusual, however we had a 3 speed fan which helped. We found the staff very helpful. Breakfast which you helped yourself to was plentiful. Old town square was 15 minute walk away. Had taxi booked for airport pickup which was excellent as our flight was delayed over 2 hours, but they were waiting for us. Would recommend hotel, taxi service and Prague to anyone thinking of going there.

Atos hotel
05 July 2007
yself and my sister stayed at the Atos Hotel for 3 nights and we were very happy with it the rooms were spotless the staff very friendly , the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast in abundance. Prague is a beautiful city but you need to be carefull, we were ripped off twice changing our money, we called the police and they said it was not a matter to be handled by them but a civil matter and i could write a letter to an address and they would dael with it. That was no good to us. we lost 225.00 euro throug changing money, one man paid us in money from Budapest which we didn't realise till we tried to spend it. So in all other ways Prague was wonderful my only advice is to change your money before you leave!!!!

Fab hotel Atos
19 June 2007
Fabulous hotel - spotlessly clean - towels and bedding changed daily. Very central for either walking or taking trams. We took trams to the Castle (No.22) and to Wenceslas Square(No. 9) Trams leave just outside/round the corner from Atos. The staff were very helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic - something for everyone - and lots of it -being replaced all the time as it was eaten! We were on the 5th floor - room 515 - very quiet. Although the trams go past all the time, with the window closed and the large fan on all night, we didn't hear them and slept very well in comfy beds. Meduzzy restaurant next door (attached to Hotel) was great - food well prepared, hot and very reasonable with good, prompt service. The funicular was just down/across the road - well worth going to. Prague is a beautiful city - and Atos Hotel worthy of 4 stars, not 3.

Hotel Atos
04 June 2007
We booked in for a 3 day break in this hotel. It was our first time in Prague and we were really nervous of getting it right. I can however say that we chose the right place to stop. The accommodation was clean, tidy and the staff were very helpful.
The hotel was centrally situated and places were easy to walk to or to catch a tram.
We had also been advised not to expect too much from the breakfasts in Prague, yet at Hotel Atos they were just great. Plenty of variety to choose from and never any shortages.
I can safely say that the with the weather being so beautiful & the Hotel been such value for me our stay was bang on!.Definately recommend it.

Stated at hotel for 3 nights for the Prague marathon.
Had read previos reviews before I went and all expectations met. Hotel was clean and staff friendly although sometimes a little slow to do things.
Mini bar was indeed cheap and bars/restaurants around the hotyel extremely cheap (22 Corunas for a pint of Pilsner - about 60p). Just over the bridge from the main tourist area of prague - an ideal location

Review of 'City Partner Hotel Atos'
09 April 2007
We followed the advice of a previous reviewer and made our own way from the airport to the hotel using 119 bus from right outside the airport; two stops on the underground and then the number 20 tram (get off at Ujzed stop!) - the whole process was very straightforward and saved us at least £15 in taxi fares.
The hotel itself was easy to find, neat and tidy foyer and we were warmly welcomed by Peter the receptionist who was very efficient.
We took the lift to our room on the 3rd floor, which was not facing onto the busy main road where the trams run continually and therefore relatively quiet - once we managed to close the windows properly!
The room itself felt airy, was clean and reasonably well appointed. The bathroom seemed to have been quite recently refurbished and was excellent! There was a well stocked fridge in the room with prices being good, although we bought our wine and water from a small general store just around the corner for, literally, pence.
The breakfast room was in the basement and was a little cramped around the self-service area, as well as being very hot unless you found your way into the additional seating area along the corridor. The staff were good at clearing tables quickly and replenishing the breakfast bar. There was a good range of hot and cold food available, particulary cheeses, fresh fruits and sliced sausage, bread rolls etc. The hotel offers a 5% discount at Meduzzy restaurant which is right next door and does offer a wide range of good food. We experienced wide-ranging service charges in the three restaurants we visited - from 5-20% - making the cheapest menu not necessarily so - just check what the service charge is.
The trams were easy to use and we made full use of the three day passes that we'd bought at the airport for £5.50 each.
Finally, we were spoilt by three days of gorgeous weather at the end of March. In fact, the whole experience was so good that we will be back soon!!

PRAGUE STAY
02 April 2007
Absolutely superb location, easily within walking distance to all main areas but also two minute walk to tram stop if necessary. Excellent bars and restaurants within the area. The hotel staff were so helpful and the hotel was spotlessly clean at all times. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. I would certainly stay here again and would recomment it to anyone. This was certainly value for money for people who use a hotel as a base only and not a hotel for most of their socialising. It is a three star hotel and people expecting those little extras will be disappointed but if they are realistic about what to expect from what they pay then this is one of the best.

30 March 2007
We paid less than £19.00 per night for this hotel and it was excellent value for money. We were a little wary as it was so cheap, however we did not have to worry. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is continental but a good choice. The hotel is well situated for most of the sights and there are some good restaurants and bars close by. We travelled on the 119 airport bus to Dejvicka (last stop) and then got the number 20 tram to Uzjid. As other reviews say, the tram stop is just at the end of the hotel street.
Prague is a lovely city and we would recommend this 3 star hotel as it is very good value for money.

Just returned from four night stay at the Atos. Agree with other reviewers - its a lovely clean comfortable hotel with excellent modern facilities and a great hot and cold buffet breakfast served with lots of choice.Have stayed in many similar starred hotels in Rome and Barcelona and this one is the best bar far for location and value for money. We followed advise of a previous reviewer and took the 119 bus to Devjica Metro line (2o mins approx) then switched to No20 bus (stop in middle of road)where you travel 7 stops before arriving across road from hotel(think stop called Uzejed ?). All for just 20kc (approx 50p). Reverse for return journey to airport - couldnt be simpler. Pragues a lovely city - recomend Petrin Hill( Tower closed till April) but worth the walk for the lovely views across the top.

This hotel is excellent value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and breakfast was always good with plenty of choice. Possibly the noise from the trams/traffic may disturb light sleepers early in the morning, but we had no problem with it. Public transport is easy to use (and cheap!) and getting from the airport to this hotel poses no problem. If we were to return to Prague we would definitely stay at this hotel again. Arrived at hotel only to be told there was no room for us (apparently due to water damage). We were moved to a partner hotel on the other side of the river. On check -in it became obvious that this has happened before. We were offered a free meal in the restaurant ajoining the hotel and handed a very basic choice menu with the words "this is for people like you". We declined the meal as we wanted to choose where we ate. Hotel Victoria was fine and the staff were helpful but it was further out than Hotel Atos so we had to use trams alot. We spent alot of time choosing the location before booking and we wanted to stay within walking distance of most attractions so we were disappointed to be moved. Before booking be sure to review both hotels and make sure you would be happy to stay in either of them as this could happen to you.

The only poor point was that there was more drink available in the room minibar than the actual bar in the reception, basic drinks such as orange, lemonade etc were always out and the fridges were never filled up.
Hotel bar could not even offer english tea only fruit tea, i had to go to the resaturant and get breakfast tea bags to a have a drink of tea.
Despite this the hotel was clean and well representated the above is the only complaint i had.

I had a great time in Prague whilst staying at the Atos. The hotel is well appointed, about 10 Minutes walk from Charles Bridge and has a tram stop very close by, maybe 50 yards if that, from which you can get several trams to different parts of the city. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and the room was clean. Staff were helpful and polite and although I had booked a single I was given a twin room with enough floor space to do yoga. Not that I do yoga but if I did I could have practiced in my room. All in all a great stay.

First of all I would like to say that as far as location is concerned this hotel beats everything hands down for the price and quality. We arrived on a crisp March morning and within 30 minutes of leaving the airport, using the superb public transport we were in our room. The hotel itself is situated close to most of the attractions including Charles Bridge and Kampa Island, which are literally was 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is very clean and quiet with very friendly staff. Our deal came with Breakfast and I have to say that there are loads of options to choose from including hot and cold, veggie and none veggie, so you won’t go hungry! There are lots of bars and good quality eateries around and there is also a supermarket 30 steps from the hotel. This is my second time in Prague within 6 months and I have to say that this hotel was, and is a fantastic place to stay if you want a quiet, comfortable and convenient stay in the most beautiful city in Europe.

Review of 'City Partner Hotel Atos'
05 March 2007
Just back from a very enjoyable short break in Prague. The hotel was excellent and did not disappoint in any way. We had a large, spotlessly clean room with en-suite and the towels were changed every day. The hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of the main sites - walking everywhere helped compensate for the calorie intake from beer and also the substantial helpings of food which appear to be commonplace.
We had a couple of enjoyable meals at the Olympia Bar/Restaurant, which is conveniently situated a couple of blocks away towards the Charles Bridge (Vítězná 7). The menu there is extensive and good value, although to be fair we enjoyed all our meals.
U Cervelo Vola, “At the Black Ox”, is an interesting old pub by the Castle, opposite the Loretta (Loretanske Namesti 1, Hradcany). It serves Velkopopvicky Kozel on draught and we enjoyed the traditional feel to the place.
Regarding transport to and from the airport, we got a 'transfer ticket' (20,- Kč each) from the transport information desk in arrivals and caught the 119 bus just outside. This takes about 20 minutes to the end of Metro Line A (Dejvická), where we transferred to the number 20 tram (stop is in the middle of the road just where the bus drops you off). This takes about another 20 minutes and you can get off within 100 yards of the hotel. The one ticket is good for both bits and just has to be stamped in the machine as you get on the bus. Return was the same in reverse (the bus stop being just down the hill from the tram stop). Hope that helps.

Really enjoyed Prague, it has to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. As for this hotel, for a modestly priced hotel, it was excellent. We were given a nice room which we were very happy with. However, on our return the first day we had a problem with the door lock, but because it was not considered to totally secure, we were immediately moved to a suite which was out of this world.
The staff were friendly and the location , near the river, convenient to transport and near to the city centre was excellent.
Would dfinitely recommend. Would highly recommend.

Just returned on 03/03/2007 from this hotel. The hotel was clean and in a great position for viewing all the sites such as Prague Castle, Old Town, Wencelas Square etc. The rooms were well appointed and the bathroom very clean and modern with a change of towels daily. The breakfast was of the continental type which we found adequate. Well mannered and helpful staff helped make our short stay enjoyable. Good restaurant and pizza places close by.

This hotel in my opinion could not be better situated to enjoy the sights, shopping and nightlife (all in very close walking distance.) The hotel itself is very clean and has very nice rooms with great bathrooms. Everything you would hope for a graet weekend break. I can't wait to return.

Well this hotel is right by everything you need in Prague, the Charles bridge is just around the corner as is the castle. The hotel was very clean and very nice staff and was very very cheap through www.alpharooms.com £90 for 2 people for 4 nights with a great breakfast lots and lots of choice. The booking with alpharooms was so simple and without any problems a click of a button and all was done. Thank you alpharooms for a great little holiday with a great hotel, we will be back again soon.

Very clean hotel, It made a great base to explore the city. One member of staff stood out(peter) who helped us look for buses trams and restaurants, a very helpful chap. The other staff were helpful too. One member did let them down a woman who said to my wife "this is not a bank" when she asked if they change money back to sterling. A simple no we don't would of done, i did point out however that they do change sterling in to czech money, so your a bank when it suits you.

Hotel is in an excellent location we were in a front room so some noise from the trams but you soon get used to it. The rooms were very clean and modern (the hotel was having a revamp while we were there) towels changed daily, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaint we had we had booked a double room but ended up with a twin room instead. There is a pi |
