The hotel is an old building refurbished. It is very well located just walking distance to the centre, on a major road, overlooking Republic square (which was very well lit by night and made returning late confortable and safe). It also has a metro and some trams stop so it is well connected. (even though from the room it not too noisy because of a double glazing). Breakfast was great and staff very nice. The room was big and comfortable, nice street view and great bathroom. The worst is the access and lobby which looks like a gift shop; that they charge you to use the safe and room had smoke smell in the first night (Hotel must have non smoking rooms!!). Very good value for money.

Very central position, minutes from the Old time square. Good price too. When I arrived the room was in a state, fag ash etc, but a quick call reception and a legion of cleaners arrived. I found the staff to be a tad surly but nobody else has mentioned it I'll take it as one off. Breakfast was limp.

City Centre Review

31 January 2008
This Hotel is in a perfect location for all main attractions & shops either on foot or by using the public transport, our room was large, clean and comfortable with ensuite Bathroom. We found the hotel reception staff to be very friendly and helpfull, and the bar which is situated next door downstairs was very very cheap overall we had a wonderful stay in Prague well recommended, and will definatly be returning in the future.

A very central and reasonable hotel. Rooms were basic but they come with everything one needs. Our room was quite large and spotless, with clean linen/towels every day. Staff couldnt have been nicer and had perfect english to answer our queries! Overall, we were very pleased !!

City Centre Prague Hotel

27 November 2007
Basic but clean, comfortable and warm. Great location, handy for all main attractions. Good breakfast, the only downside was the rudeness of the breakfast staff, they were very unfriendly and surly, as was the doorman. The receptionist was very helpful and polite. Overall though for what we paid, we were very satisfied.

Review of 'City Centre' Hotel - Prague

24 February 2007
An excellent location for your base when visiting Prague. As the name suggests, this comfortable and well presented hotel is ideal for those who want only a few minutes stroll to the 'Old Town', the Charles Bridge or a range of shops. The transport system in Prague is superb and the tram stops just outside the hotel so the Castle and other attractions are only a few minutes away. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and have all the required facilities - no minibar but with the pubs in Prague who needs one ! Breakfast was a choice of cereals and juices followed by a selection of hams, cheeses and sausages with eggs and breads. A great start to the day.

Very basic hotel . Bed clean but room basic. Carpet and walls could do with upgrading especially carpet. Not up to a 3 star standard. In a great location in centre of Prague but there is building works going on next door and this will be till Summer 2007 - so some noise.

The hotel city centre is great for the money you pay. Cheap and cheerful, the room and bathroom were very small and basic but clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and the location was great, a perfect base camp.

Disapponted with the City Centre

26 March 2006
After reading other good reviews about the City Centre Hotel, we looked forward to staying in it but we were completed disappointed with the Hotel.  In our view it was more like a Youth Hostel.  The hotel entrance was a side street door which lead you to a rather small, dark and dismal reception office.  The stairway to the rooms was even more dismal more like a stairway in a block of flats. However the rooms were clean and towels changed every day. There was no area to sit and relax in other than your room. Breakfast was very basic.  We were kept awake until 3.00 each morning by groups of young people chasing each other up and down the corridor and banging on eachs others doors.  The hotel was however in a good location it was within easy walking distance of all the main sight seeing areas.  In my opinion this hotel would need a complete makeover as at the moment I certainly would not rate it as 3 star.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Prague but would not use this Hotel on a return visit.

The hotel is in a good position, about 15 mins walk to the Charles Bridge.
The room was small but clean with a very comfortable bed.
The only bad thing about the hotel was the breakfast. We went out for breakfast each morning to the Obecni dum which is just around the corner and is absolutely beautiful!
