Not a hotel, more like a home from home. This is not the place for you if you want your every whim attended to (although the staff when called upon were at all times pleasant and helpful) it is however excellent for those who want to experience the flexibility and freedom that you have in your own home whilst having a metro stop just a hop skip and a jump away that takes you directly to the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, the Opera and Pont Neuf for Notre Dame but to mention a few. The location is not what other sites would describe as central however in my humble opinion there is no such thing as central in Paris as the sites you will inevitably want to see are not within walking distance of each other wherever you might stay. This was my first time in Paris and the amount of hotels that I looked at prior to booking the Citadines Place D'Italie was exhausting...next time I visit I'll save myself a lot of time searching as I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
