Citadines Lille Centre

This is a superb place to stay to visit Lille. We had a studio for ourselves, and a separate one for the kids, which worked out at an incredible £18 per person per night. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. The kitchen area has a fridge, microwave, electric hob and a dishwasher. There is plenty of hot water and a bath as well as a shower. Eating and, especially drinking out in the touristy areas of Lille can be a bit pricey. Fortunately there is ahuge Carrefour supermarket in the same complex as the appartments which has an amazing range of food and drink, so with the fridge and the cooking facilities in the apartment you can live there pretty cheaply. If you are travelling by car use the Citadines own underground car park - it is extremely secure and for only 10 euros a night is a must. The staff are very helpful and the main areas of the city are literally minutes away on foot. We have always stayed in hotels when visiting Europe but in future we will check to see if there is a Citadines facility in that city before we book.
