Clean, Tidy and Inexpensive

Had a great week in thses apartments, the staff solved a couple of issues straight away and were very effective at their jobs. The only problem is it is too far to walk to the old town although the courtesy bus is reliable and the driver good to get on with.

Back Again at the Choromar

Our stays at the Choromar must now be into double figures and so judging by this you can see that it is a great place to stay. All the staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome the minute you walk through the front door. The apartments are well furnished and there is plenty of room in them. The overall facilities are very good and the bar area has just had a makeover. The Strip is just a 15 minute walk away or a short taxi ride if you are feeling lazy. There you will find a multitude of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. We will be back again in September.

We have been going to Choromar for about 5 years now sometimes 2,3 or even 4 times a year. The welcome is always very warm & friendly. Apartments are immaculate & very spacious for money & I like the fact you pay for the apartment and so no supplements. All the facilities are in excellent condition & so suited to familes with children of all ages. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a perfect holiday

Just arrived back, enjoyed our 5 day stay, appartment very spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, courtesay bus twice a day to and from golden beach and old town, Francisco the driver such a jem. If going this time of year expect a very tranquil holiday which suited us. Definately would go again to choro Mar

A lovely reasonable priced break

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the Choromar apartments, there was 5 over 55's in our group and we all throughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were very friendly and the apartments although a little dated we very clean and comfortable. I would recommend the apartments to anyone wanting a relaxing break in Portugal, nice and easy access to the strip and plenty of transport to the old town.
There was plenty of activities both day and night.

Great spacious apertments. Stayed for 9 days towels changed 3 times and bedding once. Is a bit of a walk to the strip, although we did find the shortcut. However, it is only 3 euros in taxi and i would recommend a taxi late at night. The apartments are great and the pool areas are very big. No trouble getting a sunbed, although this might be more difficult in high season. All in all I would highly recommend these apartments.

Just back from 2 weeks away at Choromar, this is a great hotel/apartment. The staff are great and the apartment spacious,(even with some english tv channels to watch).The staff are really friendly especially Fred. There is a Bus to the beach which gets crowded on hot days we found the old town beach far better but beware the stairs down to it. there is a public bus route right round the corner with 1 euro a trip and the taxi fare to the old town is 5 euro. The strip is a good 20 min walk away so be prepared for a few moans of people who want everything on the door step. Aqualand is great and we went to loulee gypsy market which is a bit of a sunday car boot but good fun if you want trainers handbags or linen. Food in the bar was good for lunch and an evening meal out on the strip or old town was good even though the constant leaflets can be a pain from people trying to get you in. we have 2 older children and a baby and found everything we needed - i would recommend it to anyone as it is value for money.

Just back from 2 weeks at Choromar, and I think we will definitely be going back soon!!
I could talk all day about Albufeira/Montechoro, but I will try and keep this review to the apartments!
Firstly, reception is open 9am til 2am, and the reception staff are very friendly and helpful! We booked a few trips from the apartments, and they have links to local tour operators meaning we got picked up on our doorstep!! There is also a free bus that runs four times a day to/from the Old Town and to/from the beach - ideal.
The bar was big enough, kept very clean, served decent food, had all UK tv channels, and wasn't too expensive - what more can you really want? At night the entertainment was varied, though somehow managed to end up as karaoke almost every night!
The room we had was a 1 bedroom apartment, and it was serviced by the maids most days though sometimes a little later than you'd expect! The room was very spacious with two large comfy couches and it had new appliances and utensils in the kitchen.
On to the pool.... there are a few pools in the complex, but most people seem to go to the one at "Block 1" as that is where the bar/reception is. Due to this, there was a high demand for sun loungers!! Be prepared for an early rise if you go to Choromar! The pool was spacious enough, and the entertainment/games etc was great for the kids there.
All in all, I would 100% recommend these apartments and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

went in may 2007 with 2 small kids.staff are friendly and helpful but pool is not buggy friendly to get to it.although kiddies pool is good , could do with bit more cleaning. apts. are large and we had plenty of room for 4 of us in one bed apt.ten mins walk from strip but ask other holiday makers for the short cuts.think housekeeping could be bit better. done very late in day

Friendly staff, nice food,very nice rooms, definately value for money,Lots of pool side activities and great facilities, very welcoming, would reccomend for well behaved groups and families. Nice enough location, really enjoyed the stay

Good location,free courtesy bus to and from beach.Short walk to the strip.Staff were all lovely and helpful.Entertainment every night and the bar showed all the big matches live..Lovely food,very reasonable.Apartments were nice,basic but clean-they even have a tv with english channels!Would definately recommend choromar to everyone.

Stayed at the choromar apartments twice and loved it both times. Very friendly staff lovely apartments, cant ask for anything more. Going back to choromar tommorow.....thats how good it is..

A lovely run place with lots to do great fun place to watch the football Staff are lovely.Lots of great entertainment you will neva be bored rooey the kareoke his of his head.The gym is ok to work out in to cure your hangover.Carlos the manager is sound even though he surpports chelsea fc. We advise anyone to book here esp familys as it as all types of entertainment ten out of ten for this great place.Weve booked to go again soon cant wait.
