hotel Chaparil review
22 October 2007
I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to all shops and activity in Nerja. Very friendly staff, clean hotel. I missed breakfast the first day, because i didn't check the night before the hours, and was not offered even a cup of coffee, though directed very kindly to a nearby Cafe!
my phone in the room wasn't working, and message was given a few hours late. Definitevely AC was a great asset.
Value wise: you get what you pay for, except breakfast if you sleep in.

Hotel Chaparil

Stayed for five nights in September.Very central location. 5 mniutes from beach. Family run, all of whom were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is to be missed. Better down on the seafront. Air-con a godsend. Rooms were clean but daily servicing was a bit hit and miss. Excellent value for money.

WE STAYED HERE FOR ONLY ONE NIGHT BUT WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE CLEANLINESS AND THE FRIENDLY STAFF. WE HAD ALREADY HAD 3 WEEKS IN NERJA WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING SO THE NIGHT IN THE CHAPARIL WAS GREAT WITH THE AIR CON. I WOULD DEFINATELY STAY HERE AGAIN ITS IN A NICE BIT OF NERJA WITH A BEACH RESTAURANTS BUNGEE TRAMPOLINES AND A SQUARE WITH MUSIC MOST NIGHTS.

We stayed here for 1 night and it was extremly good value for money, unfortunatley we didn't get up in time for breakfast so can't comment on that. The hotel is on the very edge of the town so parking is not a problem and its only 5 min walk into the centre. The room was basic but the bed was comfy and the air conditioning was new, the ensuite had a bath as well as a shower and there were plenty of towels and hot water. Would definatley stay again for a night or two.

I enjoyed my stay at the Chaparil and found the hotel very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was not keen on the breakfast, we only had the choice of rolls and coissants with jam which were not entirely fresh. Great value for money though.

In July 2005 we booked a holiday and stayed at the RIU Monica Hotel in Nerja. We liked the area so much that we decided we would book a short break and visit Nerja again in September. The hotel Chaparil is in a quiet area and is an ideal base for the beach, town, and restaurants. The hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly staff who speak English! Continental breakfast is served daily between 9am and 10.30am. A vending machine with cold drinks is available in the reception area. After 11pm the hotel door is locked but reception is manned throughout the night. Outside the hotel there are a number of car parking spaces, this is ideal if you are using a hire car. The accomodation is value for money in an accessible location, what more can you ask for, you get exactly what you pay for,a 2 star hotel with all the essentials, no frills but good value!

We enjoyed our stay at the chaparil.....had a taxi from the airport with no problems... journey about 50 minutes... Rooms were clean and tidy with maid service daily...air conditioning made our nights very comfortable a must for the summer... TV a bit limited with not many channels in english but hey what do u expect in Spain....We did miss not having a balcony however the window seat was plenty for the 5 nights we stayed.... Ideal hotel for short stay holidays.... staff were pleasant and helpful.... Breakfast a bit limited ...if u like cake and coffee first thing in the morning your ok... not my cup of tea!!...but plenty of restaurants offering breakfast at reasonable prices..... Within easy access of several beaches... all clean and tidy....few minutes walk to the town square for all entertainment... very spanish... lovely town...would recommend this hotel for young couples as within easy reach of a variety of entertainment...... Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

One week in a very hot July spent here.Clean and comfortable,10 min walk to Balcon de Europe. No views as in built up area but Tues market on doorstep.Staff very helpful when needed to visit hospital after knee injury and changed room to lower floor without being asked.Good base for young couples to explore probably not for families or older couples who like comfort and proximity to beach.
