My stay at the Cervantes

This was my first time travelling as a solo traveler as well as booking for the first time on the Internet. I was very apprehensive about the holiday as being elderly and didn't know what to expect, especially after reading some of the reviews. However, I am delighted to say I couldn't have been more wrong. I was extremely impressed by both the hotel, the food, standard of cleanliness and in particular the roof top swimming pool and sun terrace. What really impressed me was the service from Alpharooms due to being able to phone directly and speak to someone who was particularly helpful (this makes a welcome change from automated messages). I would have no hesitation whatsover in recommeding the hotel and alpharooms, which I have to several friends and family members. In fact I was so impressed I will be booking the same hotel with alpharooms for August.

Our second time at this hotel, very central, very clean .New bar area since last year .New restaraunt now being finished, so hopefully the food will improve. The food this year was very basic, but we will visit this hotel again, our room even had a king size bed. Overall a very nice hotel

I would reccomend this Hotel to anyone having stayed there many times, yes it is not a four star hotel but it is very clean and within walking distance of Calle San Miguel and also a reasonable downhill walk to the beach However the breakfast lets it down, the restaurant in the basement seems unable to keep food hot so eggs and bacon are always cold and unapetising, I reccomend walking to the seafront cafes where you can easily buy a piping hot full english breakfast for 4 euros!!!
