Cay Sun Beach
17 August 2008
I stayed at the apartments at the beginning of Aug with a friend. We booked a fortnight before and I was worried about what it'd end up like! When we arrived I was really pleased. Lovely little apartment. The mini market stays open late on the nights they have new arivals. I'd heard the mini market was expensive but after going to the neto and spar nearby it was roughly same price. Cafe/Bar does tidy cheap food. Loads of restaraunts in Playa Blanca and Rubicon Marina. It was a quiet resort. Loads of places to eat, some bars but not the place for slammin it kickin it by any means.
If you're after a chill out holiday with lots of sun this is the place to be! I loved it!

Just back from Cay Beach Apts
22 June 2008
I have just returned from the Cay Beach Apts and had a great holiday there. I holidayed on my own for the first time ever, I booked 2 days before arrival so I was very apprehensive, but was delighted when I saw the Apartments. I was on the ground floor the 1st night and was very nervous, I went to reception the next morning and explained this to a very friendly receptionist called Maria, who had me moved there and then to a great apt upstairs. I felt very safe on the complex, the apts are spotless and have been recently painted so they are lovely and bright. The pool area is so well kept, a lifegaurd on dutie all day till 6, so anyone with children can feel safe. 2 really nice pools and a baby pool and lots of beds around the pool, no need to get up at the crack of dawn to keep a bed. I would highly reccomend the Cay Beach Apts

30 April 2008
We stayed at Cay Beach Appartments as a last minute holiday in March 2008 and after reading the review by Tiffany we were aprehensive to say the least. However, we were very pleasantly suprised. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable for a weeks stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. we did not eat on site, althiugh the food from the snack bar always smelled delicious, but there were numerous good reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance. We can reccommend Los herbivores ( I think thats the spelling) which is in a side street and it is best to book, for typical Canarian food alongside International style choices. A word of warning about the resort - only buy electrical equipment of you know what you are after - don't be conned by electrical shop salespeople.
All in all a fanastic stay

23-30th december 2007
07 January 2008
We visit lanzarote 3-5 times every year as we have friends who live in las brenas which is about 10 minutes away from playa blanca. Sun beach apartments was one of the worst hotels we stayed at,but this is only because we usualy stay at 5star hotels and all inclusive. the weather was great so i came back with a lovely tan for winter. The hotel was decorated for christmas which made our stay more enjoyable. They have a two small bars one was run by a man called antonio who definatly made our holiday memorable. The resort if full of english people which was great but like all hotels in lanzarote the food was definatly made for germans which was one of the down sides. i would go back for a short stay but i couldnt go for two weeks as there is not much to do unless you go into playa blanca which is a 5 minuite walk.

Review of 'CAY SUN BEACH APARTMENTS'
19 March 2007
We loved Sun Beach apartments when we stayed there as a couple of footloose and fancy free sun lovers, four years ago. So when we were looking for somewhere to go for a week in March with two children aged 1 year and two and a half, it was our first choice. (Of the four other young families we met there, two had been to Sun Beach before as well.)It appeals to absolutely everyone. It's the kind of place where the kids are made to feel welcome, but don't take over the whole holiday. Most of the restaurants in the resort are kiddie friendly too. Since we were last there, nothing has really changed. As a result, some of the furnishings etc could do with updating, but it's immaculately clean, and the staff are all great. Our cleaner came every day and would have changed towels and bedding every day if we let her. She was also happy to come back if the baby was asleep. We can't wait to go back again next year.

Review of 'APARTAMENTOS CAY SUN BEACH'
14 February 2006
Despite the weather (cloudy and rain) we had a wonderfull stay at Cay Sun Beach in Lanzarote. Everyone was very helpful and smiling - also when we asked for a man to fix our window on a sunday. We could easely find an outdoor place by one of the pools with shelter for the wind. We will be back.

Review of 'APARTAMENTOS CAY SUN BEACH'
23 June 2005
We have just returned from our 2nd stay at the Apartomentos Cay Sun Beach at Playa Blanca (our first stay last year). Once again, we found the accommodation to be comfortable (not luxurious), but more than adequate for our stay on a self catering basis. We did not use the food facilities on site, but were told by other hotel users that these were good. The hotel staff were very polite, helpful and efficient (as was the case last year). There is a small supermarket on site, but this shut for about 3 hours over the lunchtime period! The 3 pools (2 adult and 1 child) were always clean, but a little cold when first getting in, but very cooling in the hot sun! Not much evening entertainment (if you are into that sort of thing), but there is kids club. The hotel caters very well for all ages, singles, couples and families. The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the town centre and beach. The town centre itself is geared up to the tourist trade with plenty of souvenir, jewellery and perfume shops (good prices) as well as 2 good sized supermarkets (great for self caterers). Centre quite busy, but never felt overcrowded. Most of the shops stay open until 10pm. There are a lot of restaurants overlooking the harbour (which makes for great "alfresco" eating), mainly Italian, but with a couple of Chinese restaurants and 2 or 3 English style pubs, so good choice is available (over our week stay, we ate in 5 restaurants). The food was of very good quality, served quickly and plenty of it - normal price for 3 course meal for 2 about £25.00!! Beaches were clean (nice sand) and water was clear and warm. Overall, another very enjoyable holiday and we would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel or the resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and quieter holiday. This is the first time we have not done a package deal with a travel agent, but no problems whatsoever with our booking - thank you Alpha Rooms for another great holiday.
