7 Nights in the Beef...

07 August 2008
Booked a 7 nighter at an expensive price for this hotel (Over £700) Stayed here before, but first time since 2005. This place has gone downhill, FAST! Nothing particualy good to say about it apart from location & view from the balcony. It got refurbished about 8-9 years ago and you can see its starting to crumble from the inside now... The fridge stank and was rusting apart, the kitchen utenciles I wouldn't touch if you forced me and the Air Conditioning system was spitting out water at us and making weird noises! (Think it didn't particuarly like me as he kept spitting when I walked past) The cleaner did not come in ONCE, we had to pester for towels and toilet roll! lol Best thing about the room had to be the blood stained hand print on our wall, pure CLASS! lol You know you've got a quality location when you got one of them! Catalina, until you've had a refurb, we'll def not be staying at your pit again I'm afraid! I've been a loyal customer since 2000 but not again... Think one of the hell holes down the west end would be better! - Which is a darn shame! Got some wicked memories of the place :-(

have to agree with the others we definately got good value for money , The main selling point for us was the location and the price, but we got more than that, The room was good size , fridge cooker , four single beds {i pull out}. We requested a seaveiw and did we get a veiw , realy worth it , we spent most evenings chilin in front of one of the best sunsets ive seen. The bars below only kickoff about 5ish when the sun begins its decent, savannah is great for food and atmosphere, everthing calms down round 12ish as everyone hits the west end or clubs so if u want an early night its quite. The west end is about 10 mins walk, ferry port the same, eldivion and eden are bout 15mins walk, you have evrthing in walking distance or you can rent scooters from the hotel. Rooms have built in safes 3euro a day, worth having fo any valuables, they also have aircon ours wasnt workin tho. Staff seemed nicenot the best english tho, if your good with sign language you'll do well , nah not that bad, they were good to us. They even allowed us to have tunes playing anytime. The only thing the place needs is a pool , other than that everthing was better than we expected WE'LL DEFO BE BACK SOME DAY

Quality for the money u pay! we got free airconditioning in our room. Originally got a sea view room but requested to move to another room with a safe which they allowed at 3 euros a day. They also allowed us on the last day to use their luggage storage room, toilets and showers for five euros a person. Maid came every day except sundays offering to clean, change towels, and sheets. Dont leave keys with reception when you go out as this is when robbings take place. Perfect loction with the likes of cafe del mar outside the hotel where thousasnds come every evening to watch the sunset. Has no pool but can use central city's 2 minutes walk away. 10 minits walk to the west end and the main sea front. 2 hotplates, and a large fridge. The rooms have 3 beds and one pull out bed with the same mattress. reps were also present a couple of times in the day.

ENJOYABLE STAY

Review of 'CATALINA' 14.05.07 We booked the Catalina because it was cheap, we wasn't too bothered with the cleanliness and facilites, as long as it had a good location but upon arrival we were more than satisfied! Situated above Savannahs on the sunset strip, the Catalina has basic but comfortable rooms with large balconies and magnificent views of the sea! It has satellite tv and air conditioning for rental, but you recieve your money back when you hand in the reciept when you leave! The kitchen is small, but has everything you need such as 2 hotplates, a fridge and all your crockery and cutlery. The Catalina is the perfect place to stay in San Antonio as its literally a 5 minute walk into the west end and has the sunset strip on your doorway. Definately recommended and will be going back next year!

Loved the Hotel and the view.  Was disppointed that I had to ask so many questions when I arrived such as getting the A/C to work.  Also, hot water was in short supply but the rooms we clean and the views amazing.  Overall, I would definitely stay again.

Excellent location right above Savannah sunset bar and very close to Cafe Del Mar and Mambo. If you can blag a seaview room then do it cos the view is awsome, room 103 would be the best!!

Very clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. A hotel with a fridge and cooking facilities is very rare!!

Would gladly book this hotel again

This hotel is always my first choice for ibiza its right behind savannah and two minutes from mambo's . although its 18 - 30s you rarely see anyone from there . if you can get a room with a sea view you wont be disappointed. although the rooms are quite basic they are clean and comfy. There is no pool but kanya is a 5 min walk
