Where can I start? This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The hotel in itself was fantastic, the facilities wonderful, the food and drink fabulous. It is simply the best hotel I have EVER stayed in. The views omg!!!!
The main thing that really does stand out as far as we were concerned was the 100% friendlyness of the waiters and waitresses, you really could not ask for any better service.
One tip to avoid if travelling to Cancun for the first time, don't be conned into going on the Sunset Lagoon "timeshare" (its not a timeshare they will tell you but it is more or less) to get a "cheap" excursion. Yes, you do get the cheapness, however, they are not on the best coaches etc. Also, they will tell you the promotion you have to go to to get the discount excursion will only last 90 minutes and you are lead to believe it is not hard sale - believe me, we had 5 hours of it, and it was EXTREMELY hard sale. I would have preferred to pay full price! There are a lot of people in the foyer of the airport trying to sell you these packages.
Another tip is you cannot get a cab on the street outside the airport, you will either have to pay at a desk beforehand (53 USD single or 80 USD return, for a private shuttle) - however, when you look at the hotel prices for cabs back to the airport they are only around 20 USD.
We would 100% recommend this hotel and we are definitely going back next year.
