18 May 2012
We stayed for 4 nights in May, and were lucky to get Room 401, top floor with breathtaking views. It's worth paying a little extra for a seaview. Staff were very efficient and friendly, breakfast was just right. No complaints and we would have no hesitation in going back.
The best thing about my stay was…
The view and the staff.

GREAT TO BE BACK IN THE CAPRI
13 May 2012
The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive - 5*
Although a solo traveller, I was given a twin room. The only unfortunate thing about it was the smell of paint. However, the fact that the hotel has just been renovated, it's not surprising. A couple of issues re the room - no mirror above dresser although there was a full length one next to it; had to use hairdryer in bathroom which I consider a safety issue but used it nevertheless. Buffet breakfast was very good and, once again, the staff were excellent. Would not hesitate in going back.
The best thing about my stay was…
Being back in The Capri and of course, Puerto Pollenca

short break in the Balearics
20 September 2010
The Capri is superbly placed and has a new owner who promises that the work he has started re-vamping the hotel will move on to the bedrooms this winter. The bedrooms are clean, but basic and a little tired.
The staff are very friendly and although breakfast was a little limited, it was plenty for us. We paid extra for a sea view which was worth every penny.
Only criticisms would be that we booked a double room and ended up with twin beds and that the cocktails were quite pricey.
The best thing about my stay was…
Superb position and superb view

Clean, convenient, satisfactory
27 July 2010
ROOMS WERE SATISFACTORY, MAID SERVICE & GREAT AIR CON.
LOVED ITS CONVENIENT LOCATION, JUST WALK OUT ONTO BEACH CLOSE TO SHOPS FOR REFRESHMENTS ETC.
DINNER WAS GREAT, THE KIDS LOVED THE FOOD THEIR THE BEST AND THEY PLAYED HAPPILY ON THE BEACH IN THE EVENINGS. bREAKFAST WAS A BIT POOR AND COULD HAVE BEEN EXTENDED TO 10.30.
STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, ALTHOUGH SERVICE COULD HAVE BEEN A BIT QUICKER.
OVERALL A NICE HOTEL, CLEAN, CONVENIENT & ACCOMMADATING
The best thing about my stay was…
CONVENIENCE TO BEACH, SHOPS & RESTAURANTS

Disappointed with Description of Rooms
09 May 2010
Booked a Superior Room. Shown to a small back room. Complained, and after some argument about their data showing we had not booked a Superior Room, I produced my documentation (glad I took it with me), showing I'd booked a Superior Room with a Sea View. I was told I had to wait until Monday or Tuesday before we could be moved (we arrived on Saturday) as they were fully booked. Complained again on Sunday - we were then moved. However, no compensation for the night we stayed in a pokey back room!!! This mix up spoiled the start of our holiday. The word SUPERIOR is misleading when describing rooms. It should just read
'Room with a Sea View'! Our 'superior' room was very basic and small!!!! This is more a 2 star than a 3 star accommodation!!!!!!
We were without water for over 2 days!
There was a patio heater available, but used just once while we were there, spoiling our enjoyment of the adequate breakfasts (however, replenishing some of the items resulted in long waits).
On the plus side, the staff were friendly, and the rooms cleaned regularly. However, too many issues spoilt our holiday, so we would not stay at the Capri again.

We stayed in the Capri at the end of April for 5 days and it was fantastic! We booked a double superior room with balcony and sea views and it was brilliant..the room is clean and basic but was perfect for us. The balcony and views were amazing, especially with a glass of wine on a warm evening. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The loaction is fantastic and i would thoroughly recommend it x

Fantastic break in a lovely hotel.
Room was a good size and kept very clean. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly.. When we arrived at 11pm and asked if there was anywhere we could get something to eat, the receptionist went out of her way to find us somewhere that was still open (Many places were closed completely due to the season not beginning until May)
Would highly recommend this hotel as great value for money.

30 May 2009
The Capri is no longer part of the Daina/Illa D'Or group - it is in private ownership for the rest of this year when, word has it, the building will be converted to apartments. We booked 'last minute' through Alpha Rooms and thought the hotel was great value for the amount we paid. We had a balcony with a beautiful sea view; the room and bathroom were clean and more than adequate for five days. There were some problems with the water supply but this is normal in Puerto Pollensa in high season. The staff were friendly and eager to please and we could choose anything we wanted for breakfast from the Capri Cafe menu, taken on the lovely terrace over-looking the sea.
We've being visiting Puerto Pollensa for many years and, although we still have favourite places to walk and eat, we think the increase in building apartment blocks, many of which have long-term vacancies, will inevitably spoil the ambience of the town and attract people who only want sun and sea and no involvement in the Mallorcan way of life. Why would anyone visiting a fishing community want to encourage Burger King, Tex-Mex and Dakota, which offer commercially produced foodstuffs straight from the freezer?

Beautiful Puerto Pollenca
22 September 2008
Puerto Pollensa is a wonderful resort for young families and mature couples. We go most years and will continue to do so hopefully. The Capri hotel however was a major disappointment, whilst very clean the room we had was little more than a box room far too small for two, with the smallest shower room ever, and a complete glass door on it which is really taking togetherness to excess. The loo refused to flush for a couple of days and there was no hot water. The breakfast unless you made it down by 8.30 was cold and there was always a shortage of clean cups and cutlery , not surprising when the staff appeared to have to wash a lot of it by hand. We will definitly return to Pollenca but never again to the Capri. H & M Conroy Glasgow.Mature couple 36+.

06 August 2008
The Capri is in a superb location overlooking the beach and marina with numerous restaurants to choose from (not a bad meal all week) including Brisas (beautiful meal - not cheap though!) Pascalino's for good value chinese - 3 courses including wine or beer for 8.50 euros per person!! Great breakfast at Jokers, dinner at Dakota for steaks, tex mex - really nice and good value too. You can also go to the Daina hotel and choose from the buffet menu ( as much as you like) for 15 euros per person. Choose from soup, salad, seafood, meats fish, vegetables, dessert, fruit, cheese and biscuits. You have to dress smartly to get a table ( long trousers). Overall a fantastic holiday in a beautiful resort. On the downside the Capri hotel is a bit shabby although very clean. The room we were given on our first night was a disappointment as it was too small for two people to sleep comfortably in let alone move around. We were moved to a bigger room but no air as window opened out onto a brick wall. As no air conditioning days and nights were unbearably hot, although a large fan was provided. What we would say is that if you are going in May you would be fine, but after that choose the Daina as not much more expensive and has air con. The staff were very pleasant and good service, breakfast was good, plenty of choice of hot and cold food. Plates and cutlery not always clean or available but the staff definitely do their best with what they have!! We used the pool at the Daina (sister hotel) which was excellent (salt water pool). Loved Puerto Pollensa will definitely return but will stay at the Daina hotel or apartments.

The Capri is a little gem of a hotel. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfasts contain a good selection of hot and cold food. We stayed in other hotels on Mallorca and didn't always get fresh fruit for breakfast. At the Capri they have a great selection of same. There are only about six rooms which have a seaview. Unfortunately ours wasn't one of them. We did have a balcony facing a street at the back of the hotel. As this hotel is on the seafront it was a dissapointment not to have views of the beautiful bay. Other than that I would definitely recommend it and we'll be back!

Our room was very dark and small and looked out onto a wall. There was a lovely terrace overlooking the beach which all hotel guests could use however. The breakfast is fantastic with fresh fruit and all the trimmings. We thought it rather expensive for this room so moved on to another hotel where we got a large balcony overlooking the harbour, but a measly breakfast. You pay your money and take your choice.

Fantastic Hotel and Resort
23 April 2008
We stayed in this resort/hotel in Sept 2007. We enjoyed it so mich we immediately booked for this year July 2008. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Yes the interior is basic but well worth it for the soperb location. Also the price is very reasonable. The resort is the best on the island with great restaurants and none of the cheap trash you find in some of the other resorts. Would recommend resort and hotel to all.

Behind its smart exterior the Capri is surprisingly shabby, though very clean. Our room was dark and stifling, with a window opening onto a central 'shaft' that amplified the kichen clatter along with the coughs and snores of other guests. Check out the grass green 'carpet', like the stuff you stick under vases ! Forget the terrace, someone has nicked most of the cushions. Maybe, like us, they waited 6 days for an extra pillow. Great location but this hotel feels like little more than a hostel.

20 August 2007
We have just returned after a eight night stay. On the plus side, the hotel was very clean and provided a good hot and cold breakfast. Staff spoke excellent English and hotel was in a good location on the sea front. On the down side there was no hot water for three days and no urgency to fix the problem. Also it was very hot and humid with only a small fan and windows that opened over the back of the hotel.
Overall okay for bed and breakfast.

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of June. This was our first visit to Puerto Pollenca without the children and we didn't know if we'd enjoy it as much, but it was lovely. Hotel Capri is in a great location and the staff extremely helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast was very good with both hot and cold choices. We didnt have a sea view but if available is well worth paying the extra for. The weather was extremely hot when we were there and very humid. There's a fan in the room but it would have been even better had there been air conditioning. Highly recommend it.

Little gem on the Puerto Pollensa coastline
27 June 2007
Lovely little hotel right on the front of the Puerto Pollensa coastline. Excellent position and advantage that you can eat your breakfast sitting outside - bliss in the morning! Breakfast was of a good standard too, option of full cooked English or continental with very drinkable coffee. Reception staff spoke fluent English and were incredibly friendly. Hotel is set right in the heart of the town too, near all the restaurants and shops. I had a room at the back, which was incredibly value and cleaned to a good standard. Would happily return again.
