Firstly the Capri is basic accommodation. The complex is officially 1 Key. Usual self catering type accommodation. Bedroom, bathroom, shower, kitchenette ( hob with two rings is about it ) living/dining room. You can hire kitchen equipment such as toasters, microwaves, kettles etc from reception. Take a travel kettle with you. Bed linen and towels are clean. The apartments are clean but a little worn at the edges. But if all you want is somewhere to rest your bones at the end of the day; sit on the patio with a drink and watch the sun go down then this is the place. Dont expect 5 star luxury. The complex has a swimming pool which is ok and lots of sun beds. There is a restaurant and bar by the pool and food is good. The complex has an on site supermarket which is very well stocked at very reasonable prices. Capri is about 5 mins walk from Holiday world where there is enough to keep most families occupied (bowling alley and amusement park with rides etc) and about 10 mins to Faro 2 shopping centre where there are loads of shops and restaurants ( very reasonable prices. Taxis are abundant and cheap which will speed you to Playa Del Ingles; Faro. beach etc. The Capri will give you a pass allowing you to use the free bus service to the beach and back (it runs in both directions at hourly intervals throughout the day. The Capri is close to the market held on Wednesdays and Satudays and if you are feeling really fit the Yumbo centre nr Playa Del Ingles is a 20 min walk away. So in summary the Capri is a friendly, clean but basic accommodation. You will see ants and other insects and probably the occasional cockroach outside but remember this is a hot climate, not the UK, and expect it, but dont moan about it.

Basic acc, with most bunglows empty at the time of my second visit. Maid didnt show her face till day three. It's a good distance from everything and I'd advise you to hire a car. The complex was clean and well maintained, but the area somewhat unkept.

Apartment was basic but clean. Contained two cooking rings, a fridge, and TV. Great pool area, clean water and lots of space and sunloungers. Maid came every other day, towels were changed twice a week, and bedding once. Although situated on the outskirts of Maspalomas, everywhere is within approx 3 euro in a taxi (which are readily available). Free bus provided that goes to the beach and back. Hotel supermarket provides basic provisions, but slightly expensive...jump in a taxi and ask for the "Supermarket HiperDino" it's about 2.50 euros away and like a tesco store, but very, very cheap. Only downside is that it has a lot of Spanish that own properties and come at the weekend, so the pool area gets very busy then. Would definately advise this hotel.

I stayed at the Capri Bungalows for a week. I found the receptionist very friendly and spoke very good english. The bungalows were very clean with lots of space and as far as I could tell were cleaned everyday. The swimming pool has a large area for sun bathing and a restaurent close by. It is also easy to get taxis into Playa del Ingles for the night life as Capri is in a quite area of Maspalomas but it is close to the local market which happens every Wednesday & Saturday untill 1pm

Exceptionally cheap accommodation on the edge of Maspalomas. We stayed here in February 2005 and didn't have high expectations because it was so cheap. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by Capri... clean, nicely laid out with a nice pool area, bar and on-site mini mart. Although the cafe food left a lot to be desired, Playa del Ingles was within 20 minutes walking distance and there was a free bus to and from the beach several times a day. Our bungalow unfortunately over-looked a corrugated plastic fence (screening from the road) but we weren't expecting top class at this price. Very pleasant and highly recommended if you're after something cheap and cheerful.
