Hotel is well positioned just steps from sandy beach. Umbrellas and sunbeds to hire from independent operator on beach in front of hotel. Pleasant elevated terrace to sit and watch world go by on promenade. Hotel guests mainly Germans - older, quiet and polite. Our party of 4 adults only English in hotel. Staff speak little English but we had no difficulty. Only 20 rooms sea facing (we were allocated 2 without requesting them) and we think it important to be on front. Entertainment minimal but that and the recorded music played at other times far too loud to sit in comfort in the lounge and bar area. The food was buffet style, good and varied with wide choice albeit tending towards German tastes. The cleanliness of public areas good although room cleanliness a little hit and miss on some days. Clever photography suggested the swimming pool was attached to the hotel. In fact it is reached by walking down a back alley behind the hotel and is on another street. The pool is shared with another nearby hotel in same group and not attached to that hotel either. Perfectly possible for non guests to walk in. We did not use the swimming pool. As to be expected in the first two weeks of August, the resort was very busy but the hotel was good and we felt we got value for our money.
