cleaned rooms & towels every day. we asked for a pool view with balcony on arrival & got one with no problem. there for 10 days. b/b only. but did`nt have any complaints. the food was served warm but was edible. went to dominoes for lunch then sherry`s bar at night for our evrning meal which is staff are english. great value for your money. the camposol is a 2** hotel not a 4**** hotel which they those those who moan about it, go and pay out for a 4**** star. you are on your hols for such a short time, just enjoy it.

EXCELLENT VALUE

04 April 2008
Stayed 7 nights. Had room with balcony over pool. Large room. Large bathroom with full size bath with shower, toilet, basin and bidet. Everything worked pefectly, and lot's of hot water. Beds were comfortable. Maid service daily. Hotel is spotless. No thrills but excellent basic accommodation. Bar was well stocked and cheap prices. Breakfast: choice of breads, cakes, biscuits, fruit, tea, coffee, chocolate drinks, fruit yoghurt etc.. Also fried eggs and bacon every morning. Bacon was usually streaky or similar. Also either baked beans or mushrooms. Don't expect English full. Evening meal: Choice of either fish or meat each night with 1 veg and potatoes. plus chips every evening. Also continental fresh salad bar with a cold meat and cheese slices. and a small dessert or a small tub of nestle ice cream. We paid an extra £1.30 each for the evening meal. Can't even buy a Happy meal for that price. No entertainment in the hotel except for a keyboard player. Car parking is a problem, as it is in the centre of the town. If you're lucky you can park in the sidestreets free, or a car park is available across the road at about 11euros a day, or park a 10 min walk away for free, as we did. This hotel was perfect for us, as we were looking for a cheap weeks break. I wouldn't recomend it if you have young children, or if you are fussy about your food. Would recommend for couples who want good clean basic accommodation in an area not too noisy, but only 5 mins walk to the beach and the old town bars/cafes, or to loads of shopping.

First time we stayed in the old town, very peace ful room in the shade side of hotel whichn is not abad thing in Sept. rooms clean, linen and towels changed everyday, staff very polite, but don't go to spanish hotel and expect english cuisine and certainly don't take a car parking impossible (169 euros to park in carpark opposite for 2 weeks) Can't really knock the hotel

had a single room small but very clean,no balcony just a window opening on to very close walls all around you no views of anything.bath was small, well half aone my knees were up to my chest, small toilet next to bath and against a wall couldent sit cumfortably, dident spend much time in my room just to get my head down, staff very pleasant,i was there 3 nights half board but only ate one dinner there, dident like the food or lack of it,i ate out cheaply so it wasent a problem,i would go back as its not to expensive but would go self catering, nicely positioned in the old part of benidorm near to everything but up a hill.

Camposol Benidorm

12 September 2007
The Camposol was good value for money and in a convenient location to both the shops and the beach. The rooms had extremely comfortable beds and pillows and we received clean towels and sheets daily. The air-conditioning throughout the hotel made sure we had a comfortable stay. The half board option was worthwhile - a different meat / fish every night with an excellent choice of salad and fresh fruit. The breakfasts however, were a disappointment. Choice of cooked breakfast, toast and cereal, but the hot stuff was well over-done and the bread rather dry and firm.

Camposol Hotel Benidorm

21 August 2007
The Hotel was clean and the staff were mostly pleasent, the air con in the room worked. We booked 6 nights here and unfortunatly we left after 4 nights. There were a lot of young guys staying in the hotel and they made it impossible to sleep. We were returning to the hotel after 4am everyday but these youths ran a mock in the corridors night after night. We did complain to the staff but little happened. We were told that this was Benidorm??? Well concidering the hotel is away from all the late bars of the old town, maybe they should not be accepting this sort of behaviour. We were lucky that we only live 45 minutes away and just returned home a little early. It's a shame as the hotel is well placed for the beach and the old town. We visit Benidorm a lot and unfortunatly we would not use this hotel again.

Great value for money

06 August 2007
We booked for 3 nights B+B. The hotel room was small and basic, but very clean, although we did have a smell of tobacco smoke when we walked in. Aircon very good, and required as it was hot. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was near the top of a hill from the mariner (10 min steady walk). We only booked this as a cheap and chearful place to rest our bones, and we needed it after all the walking we did, but the hotel did have its own pool which was a nice area to sit in.

Review of 'Camposol'

01 April 2007
Just returned from a short (4 nights) break at Camposol.  I found the place very clean and the staff very polite and helpful.  The food is mainly Spanish (but it is Spain) but I liked everything I ate. My room was quite adequate for me and was very clean.  The hotel appears to be very popular with Spanish people - who were well mannered and appeared to be enjoying it too.  It is located in a part of the old town about 5 minutes walk from the beach.  I think that it fair to say that it was built some time ago when space in that area was at a premium - thus there is only a small pool area.  The upsides are that it is just very close to both beaches and the old town shopping area. I would definitely stay there again; at the price it cannot be beaten and Alpharooms are a good company to do business with.  Perhaps families with young children may find it does not meet all their needs but almost every other group of travellers would find it very good value for money.  Another point in its favour is the central location which means that you are never more than a short taxi ride ((4 or 5 euros)from the most of the entertainment.

My wife and I have recently returned from a holiday at Camposol , Benidorm. We received first class service from the Management and staff. We would recommend anyone looking for authentic Spanish hospitallity to try this and the venue is quite central to the two beaches. Excellant meals in the self service restaurant.

We stayed at the Camposol Hotel for 10 nights in September.
This hotel is a great budget hotel, rooms clean and had new towels daily, air con worked well and kept the room cool.
The hotel is in the Old town and was great to be with the spanish local life, if you want to be with the Brits on holiday maybe not the ideal hotel?.
We were half board and found the food OK, not much variety, not always hot on the buffet.  But found the fish very fresh and tasty, breakfast egg and bacon, and cakes which the spanish seem to love?. It can get busy at meal times and sometimes your glad the get out.
I would diffenitly stay at the Camposol again.  Its great value for money, cental to old benidorm and would give 3 star ratings!.

Review of 'Camposol'

16 August 2006
I have stayed at the Camposol regularly over the past three years, I have found the staff there very friendly and helpful.  The reception is 24 hour and the daytime is manned by Juan (John) who is married to an Irish lady for some 20 years and Patricia who also talks a little english.  In the evening there is a night receptionist who is very helpful so there is no need to worry about getting there late.

The food is typically spanish and a sort of continental breakfast but no cooked English style.  I found that buying eggs from the local store and popping them in my travelling kettle made my breakfast, everything else is there for you.
Other meals there is always a salad bar to choose from and then the hot counter which has a variety of different foods - my only comment is that I wish they cooked potatoes instead of chips! Sweets vary from ice cream to gateau like desserts and lots of fresh fruit always available.  The table are immaculate when you sit at them, nobody uses a dirty table, always clean white table cloths and serviettes.

Evening entertainment is a gentleman on the organ who is there 3 evenings a week from sometime in February to November.  It is mostly spanish music but can be a very good night.

There is a salon where many play cards and dominoes or just relax, outside is an unheated swimming pool which is kept immaculate, cleaned every day.  Alongside there is a patio area with seats and it can be quite refreshing sitting there after the heat of the day to cool off, whilst you have a relaxing drink from the well stocked bar.

Off the reception area there are the safe boxes, one lift, a luggage/reps room and an area where one can watch tv - no satellite but lots of spanish football.

Generally I go in the cooler months of the year and I find being an oap I make lots of friends from all over, many come to see me off and they are so friendly and we arrange to meet up the following year, there is always someone there I know when I arrive - I call it my second home.

As for the rooms they are very clean linen changed regularly and towels daily - rooms cleaned daily too.  Most rooms have a balcony where you can sit and overlook the pool area.  Air conditioning is very good, so you can cloe the windows and doors at night and keep cool and keep any mosquitos out!

Now to tell you the best bit -

I found the Camposol Hotel a very relaxing place for the short time we spent there. I have never been to Benidorm before , and found this Hotel near to amenities. The staff were easy to understand and friendly.
The room's were always cleaned and towels changed daily. The meals had a variety to choose from. The bar had a variety of alcohol drink to choose from also.
The style and decor of the whole of the Hotel , i found this to be of a modern design and with a touch of class.
The only thing i found wrong with Benidorm was that there are a lot of hills and unfortunately this Hotel is located half way up a hill, otherwise a pleasent stay and looking forward to coming back very soon.

Review of 'CAMPOSOL'

21 October 2005
I have just returned from a fortnight at the Camposol with my wife and 22 month old daughter. We were very impressed with the hotel, particularly given its low price. Staff were polite and generally friendly. Check-in and check-out were very quick and simple. Cleaning was to a perfectly adequate standard and the accommodation seemed well cared for. There was a nice, relatively small pool, but the water was icy cold so was hardly used in October! The swimming pool was surrounded by tables and chairs (no loungers) and drinks from the adjacent bar could be taken to the pool.
There was entertainment 3 nights per week (live organist-perfectly reasonable 'family' entertainment).
Food was very good with an adequate choice, which changed each day: usually soup, salad, possibly pasta, beef, chicken, a nice mixed-paella, fresh-fruit, ice-cream, simple cream-based deserts. Breakfasts were fresh bread-rolls, orange juice and tea/coffee/chocolate, various biscuits and cakes and a spanish version of cornflakes and a perfectly apetising 'sugar-puffs' style cereal (no meat or cheese at breakfast and no British Cooked Breakfast).
We were amazed at the friendliness of other guests, who were mainly Spanish, with some french and British as well. The Spanish, as always, went out of there way to make our young daughter feel welcome, talking to her, giving her kisses and even giving her sweets or a large lollipop on one occasion.

There was only one lift, so waits for the lift were lengthy at peak times and the lift was also used to transport laundry.

The hotel is well positioned, a few minutes walk from the heart of the old-town and beach. It is opposite the back of a large cinema. Building work on a small 4 storey building opposite was noticeable on 3 occasions, but was fairly minor and now appears to be finished, with only internal work still to be done.

One guest we spoke to had a small single room, which she was far from happy with, as she said it looked out onto a wall, in contrast our room was comfortable, with a large balcony to 2 sides for our daughter to run around on. The only ventillation in our bathroom, however, was a vent which led directly into next door's bathroom (sometimes a bit smelly)!
Overall, very good - we'd definitely stay again and would recommend it (P.S. the 'Yellow Brick Road' area (incl. Calla Murcia) is the best place to drink, particulatly McLaughlans - very friendly and clean - 60p per pint

This was our second stay at the camposol hotel, this time as the last we found the staff very friendly, the food was mostly edible, apart from breakfast which we found disappointing just continental, and limited at that.
Whilst here this time, I had a tumble, away from the hotel, the staff within the hotel were very helpful, regarding hospital and wheelchair locations, and mostly the other guests were very helpful, even though most were spanish who are not known for there manners, especially the older generation.
However the cleanliness in our estimation was very good last time, but must say on this visit was improved upon, with clean towels every day and bedding changed once during the stay.
Value for money is offered within this hotel, and is exceptionally close to the old town of benidorm, though the surrounding areas are achievable by bus or taxi.

Situated in the roads at the rear of the superb Poniente beach, a mere 5 minute stroll to the sand this hotel is superbly situated for sun worshippers.
A typical spanish 2 star hotel, friendly staff and spotlessly clean rooms with your towels changed every day.
My room had a balcony overlooking the pool and the air conditioning really is of Antartic quality.
Rooms are basic but for the price of £20 per night (single use of a double) a good price.
Friends room did not have a balcony/view so be sure to request one when booking.
Visit Benidorm on a regular basis - will use this hotel again!

The room was small but clean and with air conditioning. They changed our towels every day but in 9 days they never change our sheets. At our arrival we complained because in our room there was smell of cigarettes. The only thing they did was spray deodorant on the curtain, but this didn't resolve the problem. If you travel by car the hotel is not provided with car-parking. Parking outside the hotel's area is nearly impossible and the opposite car parking asks about 100 euro per week. Food wasn't very special, but the staff was friendly. The reception is open 24 hours so you have not problem to come back late. In Spain they have not strict law against smoke so it is possible to smoke in all the public areas. Price is reasonable but we wouldn't go back to this hotel.

My brother and I stayed at the camposol in august. We found the hotel well priced and well located.
The hotel is in the old town, which is much nicer than levante new town. The hotel had a car park opposite which although not cheap was very handy.

The only downsides were the breakfast was horrible - stale rolls, and the lighting in the hotel was poor.

Stayed at the Camposol for 3 nights bed and breakfast (2 couples). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is continental, so we ate out, but there are plenty of places that serve a full Engish breakfast nearby. The hotel has a pool, the only drawback is no sun on the pool area. The Camposol is ideal for couples or groups more than families. The rooms had air conditioning at no extra cost.I think it is an excellent base and value for money for a 2 star hotel.

The hotel was clean and friendly apart from one waiter who was a bit grumpy. The food was limited but fine - breakfast was a bit of a waste of time - just a roll and coffee but other meals were ok with fish, meat and piella each day.
It was a bit quiet where the hotel is situated as it is in the old town and mainly Spanish stay here but only 3 euros to the new town which was busy every night. The pool is only small but cleaned each day without fail - girls enjoyed it. Overall very happy with the hotel for a budget traveller - would go again but if it was closer to new town give it a go with a open mind - I don`t think you will be disappointed for the price. When we arrived we were disappointed in the location and the presentation of the Hotel. We expected the Hotel to be in the New Town. Our Balcony did over look the Hotel's small pool, was totally unsafe for our 2 year old daughter as the door to the balcony only had a latch to close it, which she could open, so spent all week worrying she may get up during the night without us hearing her. This hotel was ideal low budget accommodation. The location is perfect. 5 minutes walk to the old town and the beach. The room was small, but kept exceptionally clean. I have stayed in various standards of hotel in Benidorm and this one, although basic was ideally suited for those who just need a base to explore. We found it within easy reach of the beach, the shops and the nightlife. A taxi to the 'square' is only 5 euros in the middle of the night. The hotel is very Spanish, and being close to the old town there is plenty of Spanish culture to enjoy. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would use this hotel again if on a low budget. However, it isnt the best place for those that want to laze by a pool and be entertained at night.

We stayed for 3 nights (2 adults/2 teenagers). Rooms were clean and reasonable size. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English! Plenty of food and ok selection. Had a bar.  Hotel was beside shops, bars, restaurants and close to the beach.  We were there in March so resort was quieter and hotel had mainly Spanish guests.  Street parking was a nightmare but opposite the hotel was a carpark (10 euros max.).  Pool looked nice but was too cold to try! The more 'British' part of Benidorm was within easy walking distance too. Would like to visit in the summer.  Good value and we would use it again.
