Review of 'CAMDEN COURT'
28 July 2005
The location of the hotel is ideal as it straight routes to St Stephens Green about 5 mins away and the Temple Bar about 10 minutes away. There are various types of restaurants all the way up to Temple Bar serving everything from Subway to Chinese to Hungarian food. The location is great if you fancy shopping on Granton St, sitting having a coffee with the statue of Molly Malone or just fancy crossing the "ha'penny bridge" it's all here.
The hotel itself is very well decored, food was beautiful although it sounded a bit fancy to a "pie & beans" man like myself. I would thoroughly recommend it. The breakfast is a buffet style, the usual cereals, beans etc and also tea, coffee & toast brought straight to your table.
The facilities in hotels where excellent, as well you have a gym, a wet room, a sauna, jacuzzi and large not very deep pool. Please note though if you are using the pool you have to wear a swim hat which can be bought from the reception in the Leisure centre (I think it cost 2 euros 50 cents). Also if you're lucky you may also be on a floor with an ice machine, the reason I mention this as drinks are not cheap in Dublin itself you can start your night off with a drink in the room (plenty of small supermarkets and also Dunns stores - sells food in Ireland - and Spar).
I would go back to this hotel as I managed to leave my wedding ring in the hotel, the staff where extremely helpful as I didnt notice until I was sitting on the ferry back home. They posted it out to me and I got it in 2 days - yes, my wife nearly divorced me! I would say go to Dublin there's plenty of ways to get about and plenty to see. I hope to go back and see some more.
