What our customers say
We just got back from a week at the California III. The apartments are large with balcony. The beds are not very comfortable. However, we found that the couch folds out into a futon and we put our bedding on it and it wa much better. There is a supermarket right across the street. The beach is wonderful and just a few blocks away. This hotel does not have a pool. You have to walk across to the California Garden to use theirs. It is quite small and we looked but never went as the beach is awesome. The hotel staff is very helpful. They offer days trips to Barcelona which was great! We had half board and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. Breakfast was the traditional British and the dinner had a different variety every night. I would ask for the top floor as it is very noisy with people moving around. I could hear a father giving his daughter a bath and it sounded liked they were in our room! The air conditioning is weird. You have to have your room key into a key slot in your room for it to work. Also, they have a sensor on the balcony door so if the door is open it does not come on. Luckily, it was not too hot so the room stayed cool during the day but beware if going in the summer. Overall, it suited our needs as we were in the room only to sleep. A great value for the money. It cost 30 euros for the 10 minute ride to/from the airport. Also went to Port Aventura amusement park. 39 Euros to get in. Things reasonably priced inside. Only a 6 euro taxi ride. Overall, with meals included I don't think you can find a better deal!
