What our customers say

Our party of 3 was really looking forward to staying at Caesars and on balance we had a great time but that was in spite of a bad start at reception and a below average room. Firstly the good points: The location is perfect, right in the middle of The Strip, the hotel itself, out of ones I saw I'd rate second only to The Venetian in terms of decor and facilities, (though didn't see Wynn or Mandalay Bay), its restaurants are nice, there is a great selection that cater to all tastes and pockets, (though we did get stung for $54 for 3 ice creams one night as we hadn't checked the price at the ice cream parlou. It does however lose marks on a couple of things - the main one being some of its staff. We arrived late in the evening from Calgary where we'd stayed at a much less flashy hotel but where the staff were absolutely wonderful, to be greeted by a stroppy receptionist at Caesars. She couldn't find my booking and was pretty unfriendly. When she did eventually find it, seeing it was a triple (and I'm guessing seeing how much we paid for it, which wasn't that much), she gave me the hard sell on an upgrade for only another $200 dollars per night, (was she on commission?) which, when I turned it down, caused her to become even less helpful. She eventually found us a room, probably one of the worst ones in the hotel. It was okay, but the wardrobe, I kid you not was in the bathroom! One of our lights also didn't work and we rang about it twice but noone ever turned up to fix it. We put up with the room as it was only for 4 nights but did feel quite humiliated by our treatment at reception. The hotel porter also took an age to bring up our luggage which was just left out in the middle of the floor, and not behind the bell desk, which we didn't feel was very secure, so we had to stand by it in case anyone walked off with it. When he did eventually come, he didn't even take the luggage into the room, I did. That said, further dealings with different staff were fine and the young porter who took our bags out at the end was really lovely. I wouldn't go back to Caesars to be honest. It was a great experience to stay there and soak in the ambience but I've stayed at 2* hotels and got treated better. I do recognise that it is a 4 star hotel and we paid 2* price but frankly I expected better.
