My husband and I have just returned from our stay at the Bungalows Sal y Mar. The accomodation was spacious and very clean, with a nice kitchen area and breakfast bar, and living area. 2 bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. The pool area was small and the pool had no signs on it to say how deep it was so we didnt go in it. There were only approx 10 sunbeds which we thought may be a problem but the area never got busy so wasnt an issue. The only downfall with this accomodation is the unmanned reception. Nobody was there at the times stated on the door and when we had a problem with the water going off which happened twice, we had no way of contacting anybody other than the telephone number displayed on the door which went through to a spanish speaking man (no good if you cant speak spanish!) Other than this issue, we cannot fault this accomodation, they are ideally located 2 minutes away from the main square in Matagorda which has a variety of bars and restaurants, is the same distance to the beach. We will definatley consider returning.
