This was not our first trip to NAUTILUS but it had been a few years since our last visit. It remains one of the best 2 key apartment complexes on the island and you should have no reservations about booking a stay here. The apartments are clean and tidy with a daily maid service (clean towels and sheets twice a week which is more than enough as there is so much to do within a short taxi ride you will rarely spend time in the apartment itself!)
Matagorda is quieter than the bustle of Porto Del Carmen and is therefore ideal for families and couples. If you want the buzz of Del Carmen it will cost you less than 5 euros for 4 people in a Taxi which must be one of the cheapest fares around.
The staff remain friendly and helpful and most speak English and willing to give advice on things to do or where to go if it’s your first visit to the island.
There is currently ongoing maintenance in the apartments and complex as a whole which is a positive step in the right direction as our apartment which had two good sized bedrooms and two further pullout beds in the lounge if needed, was starting to look tired and in need of some upgrading but we were assured this was planned.
The complex has also been upgraded for wheelchair access and we spoke to a few families who were more than pleased with the facilities available for them. Matagorda shopping centre is only a couple of minutes walk away as is the beach where you will find somewhere to eat for every night of a 2 week break and ample entertainment that only seems to stop when you stop!

I would have given 5 stars if the apartment had been one of the updated ones but it wasn’t so only the 4 from me.
