What our customers say

Staff friendly and helpful. Room very basic but clean, with fresh towels every day. Was expecting full breakfasts but got, in the main, poor continental breakfasts. Monday was not a good day for breakfast because everything was stale. Tuesday was fine because the delivery of scones, pastries, croissant etc (which seem to last several days - hence staleness) was late so supplies had been brought in and were therefore fresh. The people running the place had spent 35 euros on breakfast for all the people stayng there - we paid considerably more than that so someone is making a profit. Excellent Italian restaurant at ground level below Bridge House (which is really only one step up from a backpacker hostel). Good position for getting about although you need earplugs to get any sleep at night. Some renovation going on - the last day and night there was no stair carpet - just stained underlay. I assume that by now (we are home) thee could be new carpet. Would we saty there again - no. Would we recommend Bridge House - no, even though the people were very pleasant.
