never again!
25 June 2008
Stayed in bouganvilla in 2005...great holiday......but oh what a difference 3 years make!!
Have just got back from a week there and i can honestly say it was the worst holiday we have been on. The kids couldn't even get into the baby pool because it was full of adults. Adult pool taken over by large groups with footballs, who didnt care if they hit a child.. All of this was under the watchful eye of the lifeguard....obviously his blind eye!
Lots of large groups, shouting and blareing music at all hours and through until morning, not good when you have 2 children trying to sleep.
If you have booked already,i feel your pain!if you havent then keep looking.

31 August 2007
I stayed at the bouganvilla august 2007, and initially I was impressed with it. Our room was very clean, although we wouldn't advise anymore than two adults to stay as the room was small and quite claustrophobic. As the week progressed I liked the hotel area in general less and less as other people in the hotel more or less ran it into the ground, letting their children run wild, leaving the pool areas filthy, but it wasnt for the lack of cleaning staff who were constantly on the ball. The towels were changed when we left the intructions on our door, and the apartment was cleaned regularly. The hotel itself at night was very quiet during the night. Entertainment was great if you had children, but it was hopeless for adults. Waiting staff at cafe were A*, and two of the people who worked on reception were polite and helpful, the rest were very ignorant and made us feel as though we were putting them out, and on the morning of our departure, we had a mix up with our transfers to the airport and a bus man came to collect us when he didn't need to, we tried to get the receptionist to explain this, but he made no attempt whatsoever to help us, luckily another receptionist came in and at least tried to help. Our room itself was very clean, but my partner had stayed there years before, and has said that it is a shadow of its former self, there used to be nightly entertainment in the hotel bar, which was closed every night we were there except for a night when we had a storm and they had to accomodate the guests. We had a great holiday other than that, but we did feel that some of the guests could have been more concious of their children and what they were up to.

A Brillant Holiday
01 June 2007
I went to the bouganvilla in june last year with me mam, dad, and me brother who was 14 and i was 17. The apartments were very clean and had all the amenities listed in the brochure. The maids came 3 times a week. The beds were very comfortable & nice views from the apartments. Staff were very helpful & friendly. There was entertainment provided nearly every night it was especially good on the last night of our stay as there was acrobats on which was brilliant. The location was great only a 5/10 minute stroll to the center of Santa Ponsa. There was great irish pubs in santa ponsa & was full of irish people. These apartments are great for any age, and i would definatley go back.

my holiday in Santaponsa was one of the best holidays i've ever been on.I traveled with a young group of friends and we just loved everything that was on offer. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and just generally brilliant.Everything was what was in the brochure and more. The pool was great and the water polo everyday we all had a lot of fun with that..The location was great, the shop was a foot step out the gate then the marina was a ten minute walk everything was in reach. The night life was full of entertainment and there was entertainment for every age group i would reccomend Boucnavilla for every age.

Review of 'Bouganvilla" a superclass Hotel
12 September 2006
A superclass hotel for families with small children. Every night Ola mini Disco for the kids, where the sing and dance with the adults from the kids club which the also can join in the daytime. Every day the kids club has a new theme f.i. Disney. Super friendly pools for the small ones and a larger one for the oldest. Very clean and nice apartments and XL-portion if you want to eat at the outdoor restaurant. Super service at the reception if you need an advice for a tour-day and only 15-20 min. away fra Palma by bus. We did it several times with two children age 1 and 4. Santa Ponsa has a lot of cheap restaurants with playgrounds for the kids. A hand of stars from us to Bouganvilla.

Stayed here last week 19/5/06 very clean apartments very small travelled with 7 year old daughter and 12 year old brother and partner .Stayed in a studio apartment very small not suitable for family with tennagers as all beds are in the same room .How people cooked i don't know? pool nice and clean and staff very friendly. Parrot show was excellent entertaiment in apartments not great. Great place to eat was grannys or murphys or made in italy out the back door. Piriates show a must great nite out.Waterparks aqualand and western both good western closed on sat more suitiable for families.Marine land disapointment better off ariving for show at 3 as very boaring see every thing in 10 mins. Please note you can get free admission in to the water park/ marine land for kids in mc donalds in hte happy meals with one paying adult kid go free The spanish square entertaiment very poor better off avoid it. palma nova beech beautiful. The dubliner ideal if you want to lissen to the same songs at the same time every nite same bands all the time.Hogan stand a great pub for football.taxi cheap and overall a good holiday would go back to mojacar but would stay in pamla nova next time .Would avoid magaluff irish not wanted .

BOUGAINVILLIA WE LOVE YOU
01 September 2005
WE TRAVELLED OUT TO MALLORCA, NOT KNOWING QUITE WHAT TO EXPECT, AND WERE PLEASANTLY SUPRISED WITH THE HOTEL.THE APARTMENT, ALTHOUGH SMALL, FOR MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE WERE LIGHT AND WELL LOOKED AFTER. THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS, THE ADULT/CHILDRENS SWIMMING POOLS WERE CLEANED EACH DAY. NIGHT TIME ENTERTAINMENT ALTHOUGH GOOD FOR THE KIDS WAS LACKING A LITTLE BIT FOR ADULTS - NOT THE ENTERTAINERS FAULT THOUGH THEY DID THEIR BEST. WHEN YOU STAY AT "BOUGAINVILLIA" YOU ARE NOT FAR FROM TWO WELL KEPT BEACHES BETWEEN 10/15 MINS WALK DOWN A TREE LINED AVENUE,MAIN BEACH ABOUT 25 MINS WALK AWAY. NIGHT LIFE IN TOWN VARIES FROM OUTDOOR VARIETY ACTS TO MUSIC PUBS, SOME OF WHICH SHOW MOST OF THE SOAPS, COR ST, EMMDALE, EASTENDERS. LOTS OF SMALL SOUVENIER SHOPS AND MOST STAFF SPEAK VERY GOOD ENGLISH. OVER ALL A VERY GOOD HOLIDAY,WE ARE BOOKING SOON TO GO BACK.

Review of 'BOUGANVILLA'
23 August 2005
boogy as it is commonly known is one of the cleanest sites we have had the pleasure to stay on. the apartments are kept spotless by the frequent visits by the maids. The grounds and their associated many toilets and pools are equally of a high standard of cleanliness The only small quib is that there is only one restaurant on site and although top class it does not offer the pie chips mushy peas or cheap steaks that lots of budjet families wish for. They are frequent in number but at a cost. Yes a 10 to 15 minute walk first through a quiet residential area and then down a long palm tree avenue which leads to the main beach. This trip is free from 0900 to 1800 hrs via the site bus / trai but after these hours its 3 euros in a taxi or walk. The pub off site offer good beer prices 2 euros pint of becks or short and mixer with a little extra if good entertainment is on. The site night life is reasonable and beer prices about 2.2 euros per pint not bad for the last few pints after returning from downtown. Pirates worth every penny for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. I would recommend this resort and Boogy especialy if you book early and get a good budjet price. But remember the 10 -15 mins' walk or taxi to the closest British pub with good grub. Finally get to the Royal Oak - cheap excellent mega food portions and great staff, try their wedge of beef - kids will love it.
