Excellent value for money, warm basic and comfortable. Everything you need for an inexpensive visit to Prague. Four tram stops into centre of prague no problem whatsoever. Will stay again and recommend to friends and colleagues.

Botel Racek

The Botel Racek is a great place. OK, it's a little way out of town, but that means it's quiet and the centre of town is only a 14Kr (35p) tram ride away. The trams are frequent and reliable and the tickets can be purchased from reception. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful and everyone spoke great English. The guys who were running the bar were particularly friendly. The botel is clean, the rooms are everything you'd want and the breakfast is of the continental variety but with plenty of choice. This was a great weekend in Prague and the Botel Racek was an integral part of the stay. I would have no qualms about returning to the Botel Racek - It represents excellent value for money.

the botel was a nice hotel it was clean and tidy and in a nice location the only thing about the location I could say is that it was a right bit outside the town we had to get taxis in and out of town at night. The food in the hotel was great and the bar was good to and the rooms were clean and tidy also. My only complaint would be that the night stay were not very friendly especially the night receptionist. overall a good botel and I would go back again ideal for a short break

Botel Racek April 2007

Ideal for a short break, the Botel Racek is a short tram ride from many of the main sights of Prague, but is away from the hustle and bustle. The tram service is excellent, inexpensive, frequent and numbered signposting at stops makes it easy to find your way around and get you back to the Botel easily (a 5 min max walk from the stop). The cabin-type rooms are basic and clean, and have all you need for a short stay but no tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was rolls, meats, cheese - nothing to write home about, but the food we ate on the outside Terrace of the bar was excellent quality and good value. The bar staff were attentive and pleasant. The reception staff helpful in booking us a taxi back to the airport. All in all, a fabulous city, a good location Botel. I'd definitely go back to Prague and would stay at Botel Racek again.

Review of 'Botel Racek'

This hotel is really quaint, the room is very clean with a tv - there is only one english channel (eurosport)but who goes on holiday to watch tv?  The breakfast is okay, bread, boiled eggs, cooked meat, jam and cereal.

The restaurant meals are really good and no more pricey than a good hotel in the city. The tram stops 5 minutes away with a great service into Prague itself.
All in all a good hotel for a city break, and you can feed the ducks and swans from the room window.
