Botanico-Magnifico
26 July 2007
If you want to chill out and be pampered do yourself a favour and take a break at The Botanico, the staff are the most helpful & pleaseant we have ever encountered, the oriental spa garden is absolute bliss & boasts a fabulous range of treatments, there are 3 restaurants all are excellent & if you like Thai food dont miss the Oriental. This hotel is not really for the young & lively, but if you are sporty it has excellent tennis courts, gym & a practice putting green. Every thing about the Botanico is class a real five star gem, we will be back.

From Stress to Calm bliss

Having stayed in the le paz district of puerto before, we knew the area to be a little less hectic than other parts of tenerife but still to have a nice collection of friendly bars, the laguna and the world famous Loro (parrot) park. We could not get into any of the previous hotels that we had stayed at and took a gamble "The Botanico". The best bet of my life.My partner was amazed at the way the Staff came to greet you whether you were leaving a taxi or sitting down for breakfast or dining in one of their 3 a la carte restaurants.Full of enthusiasm and smiling. The hotel is wonderful and the manager himself took time to conduct a full tour of the hotel spa and gardens and, for those who were interested, kitchens.(They apologised for not showing us the royal suite as a guest was expected - Mr Bill Clinton turned up a few hours later.) The background music played by the pool was exactly that and you could still here the parrots and other birds singing around their abundant garden.I would like to say more but am running out of space. I'll add to this after my next visit. a ++++ experience.

Review of 'BOTANICO'

Fantastic Hotel! I only booked a standard room for a 1 night stay as a Birthday treat for my husband, we were actually holidaying over the other side of the island, could not have made a better choice, room was superb, staff were lovely and even worked out from our passport details that it was my husbands birthday and a 1/2 bottle of champagne, small birthday cake plus birthday card was sent to our room shortly after our arrival. The oriental gardens were wonderfull. The breakfast was amazing, my only regret is that we did'nt have longer there to make use of all the facilities they have to offer. But 1 day we WILL be back.

What a wonderful experience it was to stay at this hotel. Included is full use of the Oriental Spa facilities. Every one wonders serenely around the hotel it the white towelling robes and slippers supplied by the hotel! The gardens are superb and the magnificent breakfast is to die for. All the staff are very helpful. The Botanical Gardens and Loro Parc are all in the surrounding area. The bus stop is just along the road into town. The area is known as LA Paz, which means " Peace". So if you are looking for a touch of luxury and relaxation this is definitely the one to book.
