What our customers say
My wife and I have never been to Nice before but we really enjoyed our weeks holiday there. We stayed in the Boscolo Park Hotel. It is separted from the promenade by a small park and band stand. The park is about 70 yards deep and surrounded by main roads. The traffic noise level was high both day and night. The outside of the hotel needs some paint work done but the inside was lovely. We paid for a standard room through Alpharooms.com but decided to upgrade to a better room on the 5th floor with a sea view, the extra cost payable to the hotel was 30 euros per night per room. The room was very large with two balconies which were south facing, (sun all day).A very nice room with TV, and safe with no extra charge for it's use. There was a mini bar, which we never used due to the very high cost of it's contents. A small bag of nuts and a very small box of Pringles were 5 euro's each!!
There was a breakfast room where they had continental breakfast. No dining room for dining and no real bar area as such. You could use the sister hotel The Boscolo Plaza, just around the corner, it had a room top bar and dining room, fairly expensive. The location of the hotel is excellent about 15 minutes walk to the bus station, where the buses to Cannes and Monte Carlo are only 1.30 euros each way. The train station is about 20 minutes walk away.
We went in September and the weather overall was very good, about 24 to 28c most days. Loads of bars, cafes etc at various prices to suit ones budget. If I were to visit the area again I would say in Ville Franche, a place I fell in love with. Nice is also very beautiful.
The taxi from the airport to hotel was 26euros, some people had been charged 35 euros.
