Very good location, close to train/bus station and also the Duomo. Hotel has obviously seen better days. Main lounges & reception rooms lovely but rather unwelcoming. Our room certainly was not 4 star : clean but very basic and furniture had seen a lot of wear. The Italian plumbing left a lot to be desired : wastes on basin and bath did not work, basin tap poured water all over counter. We complained but no attempt was made to put anything right. Breakfast uninspiring. As we only went back to hotel to sleep off the day's visiting, it didn't really matter!
