CLEAN & COMFORTABLE BUT...

The hotel Boreal is idealy situated for the railway station which allows you relativley cheap travel along the Cote de azur all the way down the coast into Italy. The hotel itself is clean the staff are friendly and helpfull. The room which we stayed in 304 was small , which means you do not spend much time hanging around your room. the bathroom was fairly new and bright and even had a bath , breakfast was continental bread rolls cheese, ham jam etc.. note, make sure that you are on a bread and breakfast basis otherwise you will find youself paying 9 euros per person for breakfast!! What was a suprise in Nice and the other towns along the coast was the cost of food and drink a pizza for example in the old town around Nice will cost you anywhere between 10-13 euros with a large beer costing between 5-7 euros

very nice, clean hotel with excellent helpful staff. met a couple that had been there 5 times before, so that speaks for itself. the rooms were very small - but clean and with a bath which is unusual. not the place to take too much luggage to or spend too much time in the room.
the hotel was being extensively refurbished while i was there and the facilities - bar, restaurant etc were unavailable except for a very good continental breakfast so i cannot speculate on these.
very pleasant for a single traveller - but you need to watch the area as Nice is reknowned for taking advantage of the unweary.
