What our customers say

I chose the Bonhamon the portrayal of its website and other peoples reviews on different sites. My friend also preferred boutique hotels-no problem and really looking forward to it. On arrival the hotel looked ok bit funky and a bit tatty-not qite finished off to me it seemed-neither here nor there? The first room 201 was just 'poor', i can only say very disappointed. Awash with cream, individually designed, no? A cheap blancket on the bottom of the bed from Primark i think-thats okay but Primark is cheap and cheerful, not how this establishment portrayed itself. I came down and changed the room. Caroline was apologetic and made no fuss(all the staff were extremely polite and helpful) offered me another room, it was acceptable but nothing spectacular and telephoned to check if it was ok. It was indeed clean, the pillows were soft and the toilteries of good quality. Service at breakfast was appalling- no butter, cocked up food orders, no teaspoons and tea in a coffee pot?? Hmm it's not rocket science. Would I go again? nope, not on your life, I dont mind getting what I pay for when I book a travelodge-but a Travelodge it aint.
